Have you seen ethos mob sorter from beta 1.2?
it works because creepers cycle right when they're about to explode
From the wiki below
As a Creeper approaches a player, it tends to circle to its right (player's left). This behavior, which is also seen in skeletons, makes them slightly more challenging to kill than many other mobs, particularly if the player is using a sword or other melee distance tool rather than a bow.
Locked for redundancy, as mentioned Slimes do not despawn if they have spawned on a difficulty higher than peaceful and then switched to peaceful after that.
I see Find Players as exactly that, find players to play with. Even when going into the sub forum you can clearly see from the title of peoples topics they're either running a server or asking for help.
"I need your help" "Hunger games" significant difference.
I dont understand why "Find players" means building?
If you're looking for servers to join we have a dedicated subforum called "Find Players" (located at the top) there is no need to have it in important threads
Ive got one in my current world snyder, except i only have a couple pumpkins because I dont find them as useful atm, I only have enough planted to give me a stack or so of watermelon. My farm is hidden and gets transported by water to my underground base.
For all suggestions please direct them to the request thread located here. For everyone else stating to turn it to peaceful mode, that may be fine only if slimes havent already spawned on a difficulty already, they do not despawn when switching to peaceful.
Im not at any level, why do you ask? I was telling someone else that the darkness isnt a bug its void fog, which gets darker the closer you get to bedrock.
I put torches all around a 16x3x16 room that has been completely cleared out and I cannot see very far ahead of me (looking into pitch blackness) despite there being a torch within a few blocks of me at all times
That isnt a bug, its called void fog.
Void fog was added to the beta 1.8 update so that The Void would appear black instead of sky color. This black fog (with gray particles floating in it) thickens as the player reaches Bedrock levels, regardless of render distance settings. See the graph (right) for the maximum view distance due to the fog.
All layers below Y=28 have some degree of void fog, unless an area is exposed to the sky. Opening up an area to the sky removes void fog in a small area around the opening.
On superflat mode the void fog is removed since you are so close to it that if it were there, you wouldn't be able to see anything at all. This is why on superflat the void looks sky color until you jump in it.
In creative mode there is no void fog at all but for some reason the void still looks dark
