Fixing common problems
2. The ModLoader has to be first in the mods list, use the button Up to move it to first position. ModLoader is not needed if Forge 4.0 or newer is installed.
3. Then come (if you need them) ModLoaderMP and Forge.
4. Then come the rest of the mods and last comes OptiFine. Only one OptiFine edition may be active as they overwrite each other.
5. Do not forget to start with a clean minecraft.jar. If it is already modified or patched, then some mods may not work correctly.
6. A mod should appear either in the internal or the external mod list, but not in both at the same time.
7. Mods which have status "No mods found" needs to be repackaged to be used. The mod ZIP file usually have a folder "put_in_minecraft_jar" or similar which contains one or more files like "acx.class". The contents of this folder have to be zipped in a separate ZIP file and added as an internal mod. This solution works with almost all problematic mods.
8. If you get an error "No accelerated mode found" or "Bad OpenGL drivers" you may try running Minecraft with less memory. Go to "Setup -> Advanced", enter 256 in the field Memory and test again. This helps with some integrated graphics cards.

Sadly MacOS simply does not have the ability to support SEUS. The way macOS forces GPUs to render is different enough from windows that it can't really be done while looking the same. There are other very good mac-compatible shaders though, and I encourage you to take a look at those.
1
Good luck! I specifically recommend the R9 290/R9 390 and GTX 970 for higher end builds, and the R7 370/R9 270x for more budget builds.
1
Hey, congrats on the feature!
2
Well, seeing the work stop a bit is saddening, but makes sense. Love to see it maybe progress in small bits and pieces though, and it's all open-source!
3
One issue that is more interesting than new is how the chunks generate. If you fly along in an area long enough it will finally generate terrain around you, even though the chunks look loaded but glitched. It's incredibly heavy, pinning my 4.2Ghz 4670k at 100% usage, but far away chunks are still loading/unloading while the ones near me don't
Also, I'm mildly interested in HDD usage. I run minecraft off a SSD, but with all this loading and unloading I wonder if it would be very slow on my HDD.
EDIT: Giant explosions work fine.

I would love to donate, but like the others I have less than $5 to my name. If I ever get a well paying job I would love to donate.
Also, for me the rewards aren't the driving force, but the project. While a reward like alpha/beta access is a perk that would influence my decision, the smaller things like the aesthetic plates are nice, but supporting the mod itself and the modder (you) is a bigger deal.
EDIT: I think what they are doing is
1) Being in the public eye. EE3 and thaumcraft are massively popular mods. Famous youtubers use them all the time. Also, the first guy is on youtube himself.
2) Being open to the public. I know you talk here, but dude 1 has a public hangout. I know StarCitizen got thousands of pledges at the $1k+ mark because people got monthly meetings with the dev team. People like a human connection I guess? Not sure how that would be different from you being on this thread though.
This isn't criticism, I love how you are doing it now, just trying to answer your question.
3
Pretty sure it's 100% sarcasm.

Oh, he's helping out with Tall Worlds? Awesome!
1
If I recall correctly he was working with MCP and they revoked his ability to work on their code. I think the color scheme refered to how tall worlds hooked into MCP but now has to hook into M3.
1
This is going to sound bad, because it's about a release date, but I'll ask anyway.
Is tall worlds more in the "oh hey, the mod is being written" stage or more of a "oh hey, this mod actually works" stage?
please don't burn me lol
