1/8inch is the diameter of the jack ;-)

So like this except with Yellow instead of Red and with a bulky cylinder behind the black jack (no pun intended) ?

It's almost exactly like that, but it doesn't have that red cable and has a black cylinder with the diameter of maybe an inch close to the black part. I'm sure it has something to do with audio. One thing to keep in mind was that I plugged the black side into my headphone port and the other two cables into the TV and my computer said the device could not be recognized. I tried with my microphone port as well.

Okay, is the black cylinder like
    or
or is it completely different ?

Oh wait so it has an 1/8 inch jack and there's a cylinder behind the connector ? Or is the connector a black cylinder ?

sounds like an AV tulip cable to me..
Since it's 2to1, with the single end being a jack (probably quarterinch), Maybe is it a stereo jack to double RCA splitter ?

Uh you'll have to be a bit more precise... Does it have a headphone-like plug on both ends ? What is the diameter of the wires ? The size of the connector ?

i'd go regular 3ds, however if you get an XL and register it before april 31st you get Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon for free, may be worth looking into it

I think you got it wrong... I believe it says buy a 3DSXL + Luigi's Mansion and then get a free game...

Well, it's a save for the laptop or buy the 3DS kindof a deal, and don't they have some free indie games and demos on their E-Store?
I just checked. On their eStore, you can get game demos, or you can apparently get old games for free (understand Mega Man II)

Go for the laptop. Education is more important than playing games all day. Even though gaming is more fun, the laptop is much more practical of a choice.

Laptop is 150$ out of his budget though...

OP, keep in mind that although you might have enough to but a 3DS, you'll then have no cash left for games, and be left to play with the camera and the settings menu... :(

If you were to go for the 3DS, I wouldn't get the XL version, as it only supports newer games and older ones are scaled up to the new resolution. Plus I also purchased a 3DS for Pokemon and OoT; while OoT has retained its awesomeness, the new pokemon games aren't that great. Plus most of the new pokemons are ridiculous.

Screen size doesn't matter. But 24" is nice to have

Screen size matters a lot... You don't want to be three foot away from a 17" as much as you don't want to be 10 inches away from your 40" TV... (Also, bigger screen sizes allow for bigger resolutions, and 2560*1440/1600 is pretty cool.)

If you want to go triple monitor in a surround setup (be warned, PITA to use when not in game), you ideally want 22 or 24 inch monitors with a thin bezel. IPS would be better for viewing angles, but you lose in refresh rate and input lag. Samsung has a neat thing where they have three unbezeled monitors and a stand bolted together, but I think it still costs around 1k5, so no go... A stand to hold them all would be more elegant, but it can be pretty expensive. Also, be sure your desk is wide, fitting three monitors will take 150cm easily, let alone having your PC next to it. If you need a mic and speakers, make sure you have a way to not have them in front of your monitors (mic on thing that lays on the ground, small speakers or desk large enough to have them next to the monitors on the side.

    Try Start>Configuration panel>Internet and Network>Connections>chose your connection>rightclick->properties>configure>tab "power">uncheck the first box.

You will not lose your connection anymore, but that means if you use a weak firewall / aren't cautious, your computer can be accessed by malicious people while you're not standing in front of it.

All translations are very approximative and random, my copy of win7 isn't english.

While surround gaming can be tempting, it's usually a pain to use a triple-monitor setup while not in game, due to the virtual desktop which s up any fullscreen app. I think nvidia surround handles this better, but I'm not really sure.

While that is true, the loop will actually be shorter I believe. Instead of having to move back towards the top rad, I can move to the rad then just flow right to the reservoir. Less detours are the best detours.

I'd go for reservoir-pump-bottomrad-GPU-CPU-toprad-reservoir, as you first drew it, as it offers a generally simpler to follow path ( that is, if the barbs for the top res are at the front or if you use a cross-flow res).

posted a message on Should I have lag?
    Quote from adamjoliver

I think I can tell you right off the bat what is going on. Minecraft, for some reason, lags a bunch when its given more memory then it needs. Try using a minecraft client that allows you to modify the amount of memory allocated to Minecraft, like Magic Launcher. Then crank down the memory to two-three gigabytes. And even that may be a little too much.

Minecraft takes 512Mo by default, or 1024, not sure, but it certainly does not take more. The problem here is that the OP's computer has a "GPU switch" technology (which is crap).

OP, see in your catalyst center if you can disable this function for minecraft / generally so that you use your 6750M rather than the crappy HD2k or HD3k from your CPU.
