    I am trying to tell my texture pack to render just the item for the trident instead of the entity model like the swords for my legend of zelda concept world and resource pack and I am very new to making resource packs and I can't figure out how to actually get the item texture in my hand any way at all. I have blockbench and paint.NET, I would just really like to know how I can force the game to render the simple item texture instead of the entity when we hold the trident and if that's not possible than maybe some advice for creating a new trident model lol. Thank you!
