Dec 8, 2011FailingAtFailing posted a message on This Week's "Snapshot" ReleasedWait, as server owner, if I upgrade to this server jar does that mean anybody using my server would also have to update? I know that the 1.0.1 server update to fix bugs didn't require a client update but what about this?Posted in: News

If the mobs worked together when supported by endermen, I think it would make the game alot more interesting. Especially once you have already gotten to the end-game with enchanted diamond stuff and a castle.

It would be more fun and enjoyable if the playerbase was fairly large (atleast 10 players online at a time during the day) but I can make do if most players don't live in the same timezone as me.
I would understand if certain items were banned due to lag (mystcraft ages and chunkloaders).
I would understand if there were map resets, but I request they not be too often. A planned once or twice per year sounds reasonable. People want to keep their stuff after all.

I have the latest crash report below in the spoiler. Can someone provide a solution please?

Or get a zombie pigman spawner through Not Enough Items or something.

Build a statue. See how that turns out.

The Error window says "This Application requires a Java Runtime Environment 1.5.0"
The window is named Launch4j
Previously I had Java Version 7 Update 5.
The latest version of LWJGL would not be the best solution (if it is one) because with Java 7 Update 5, I could not hit or mine while moving. Whenever I clicked with either mouse button, my character suddenly stopped moving. Very detrimental because I help my brother pvp on a server.
I am using Windows 7 64-bit, I have installed the 64-bit Windows Offline Java. I tried re-installing, but it did confirm that the same Java version was on my computer. I even restarted my computer since I installed the latest java update.
Also, isn't JRE 1.5.0 really outdated?

Anyway, one thing I noticed is that most of the time, people bashing it are comparing Minecraft to old versions of FC which was basically Minecraft Classic, with a few goodies if I am not mistaken. It was probably to test the engines. The lighting in FC is actually pretty good. The Miner Helmet with the built-in light centered on the player is convenient.
Last I played it they were testing some experimental features like a base defense mode.
FC also has a cool custom block feature. You can make up to 64 custom blocks that are world-specific. They can be set to act like various things such as doors (custom doors!!!) or to be animated. They can spin or swing around like they're blown by wind. You can even make conveyor belts. They're really neat.
Anyway, the early stages of games are bound to look similar. But last time I played FC, it had some stuff that easily differentiated it from MC.
I think the developer is working on some different stuff now though. I don't know if he finished with the base defense mode though.
