Hey guys at the Voxelbox, I am planning to use the deep space texture pack created by KupoKupo for a large project of my own, was wondering if a purple, smooth, almost metallic block could be added to it? It would be a good contributor to the already great texture pack and help me and other with projects :smile.gif:

PS: I'm hoping this is the right way to contact KupoKupo by posting on this thread but if not you could tell me otherwise :tongue.gif:

First off, plusnine is the creator of the Deep Space texture pack. KupoKupo is developing a separate pack for 3D sculptures.

Secondly, the Deep Space pack is all but finalized. I doubt any new textures will be added, with the exception of those made for the Red Planet. As such, while requests were being considered back in development, they will now be almost certainly trashed.

I suggest you make your own texture if you wish to have this build reach completion.

I'm pretty sure that moon-sized asteroids would exceed the maximum height limit for Minecraft.

Hello, I've been a moderator on my regular server for three or four months now and am looking forward to checking out the Voxel Box. These pictures are from the city that has been my project on my other server:

Everything you see there was terraformed and built legitimately over the course of three or four months.

You updated to Beta 1.5, didn't you?

The server is running 1.4_01 until the plugins are updated.

I am probably doing something extremely stupid, but I'm stuck, and I cannot find a post about this anywhere else. (This honestly has almost nothing to do with actual modding at all. Sorry.)

So I had an idea for a mod, and this being my first mod, I was doing research. I came across the MCP during this, and also found a few tutorials on it. I mainly followed this post step-by-step, until I reached the section on decompiling. It was getting directory errors while de-obfuscating the code. I fixed this, and ran the decompile.bat again. This time, it appeared to go smoothly, except for a "'jar' is not recognized as an external command, batch file, etc." error.

However, when the tutorial directed me to open up the /sources/ directory to reveal the code, I waded through a series of folders before coming up empty-handed. There were no files in either of the following directories:
    C:\Users\Derp\Desktop\MCP\sources\minecraft\net\minecraft\src
    C:\Users\Derp\Desktop\MCP\sources\minecraft_server\net\minecraft\src

The tutorial makes no mention of this, and continues on to describe the numerous classes within each folder, much to my dismay.

I am updated to the latest version of the JDK and MCP, and I have my Path variable defined correctly.

Can one of you intrepid good sirs/madams kindly point me in the right direction? It would be greatly appreciated.

    EDITED for clarification.

I like the way you've planned out your roads. You've done wonders with such a small space. The only complaint I have is about the use of materials: There seems to be a lot of cobblestone used in the roadways, so I would vary it somewhat. (Unless, of course, you are on a server that builds "legitimately".)

Thank you for your input, zilchonium, Bobbyfeta, and coolpilot. My idea was sort of haphazardly thrown together without much thought on my part, but you guys rounded it out.

I like the idea of placing factories and workshops in The Trade Cities. It seems like the best place for it, and the only reason I suggested Yarg was because of the lack of builds across the frozen wastelands.

On the other hand, placing headquarters in the city that the original shop started in may not fit with the rest of the city, or it may not be viable to have just one corporation in a city....

Hmmm, I'm going to think about this. It might be feasible to start a large city that not only houses large office buildings and corporate skyscrapers, but smaller apartment complexes and public parks.

To say the least, I am going to build my corporate headquarters somewhere, and perhaps build a city around that. If others would like to house their company HQ in that city, then so be it. If they feel it would detract from the overall feel of their corporation, then it's alright if they build it elsewhere, or don't build it at all.

Idea: Corporate Conglomeration of Company Headquarters.
Description: A series of buildings housing corporate headquarters.
    Location: Undecided.

I noticed that Ninewerks seems to be the only VoxelBox corporation with a headquarters. Companies such as MetroVox, VoxelAir, VoxelOcean, Sweet Treats, Oinkies, Redcorp, Ridgecorp, Pai's Bakery, Catapult Cafe, Jomeaga's Eel Shop, The Big Shell, and my own company, FTL Systems, do not have a corporate HQ. Therefore, I propose that an area be set aside for the building of such headquarters. I do not know of an area that would be ideal for such a project, but it seems that Yarg has plenty of land, and would give visitors something to see on the way to Auxium or Royeaux.

    What do you guys think?

    She still needs a port.

Is there even a port big enough for it?

DudeMaster, I warned you multiple times that you would have to be patient. You listened once, left for about a half an hour, and then came back and immediately started asking admins to come look at your build. You annoyed me, and I'm sure many others, in Minecraft and in Vent. It's nice of you to bump the thread, but whining about this in the forum is not going to get you unbanned. Try a PM to one of the admins.

GavJenks, that city build reminds me of Cliffton, with the overall style and theme. I also like the other builds you've made outside of the Daro.

This is most likely what they were talking about.

The admins won't necessarily make it a VoxelPort unless one is needed, and it would have to be good enough to catch an admin's eye. I wasn't even planning on this becoming a VoxelPort.
