So the time had come...
From now on i will not update nor add anything to the mod.
I really want to move on with my other ideas.
I see that 1.8.9 and 1.9 competelly destroyed all previous mods and i just cant update to 1.9, but i dont gonna stick with 1.8.9!
It was the greatest adveture and experiance i have ever had in programming, and i really like that a lot of you enjoyed the mod.
I hope you guys can understand me, and im really thankfull for the support you guys gave.

Its a confilict with one of the mods you have. You have to try and see wich mod is it. If you have Little Maids mod, start with that.

This is a list of custom stories for The Amnesia Mod.
Please make sure you always follow the Installation guide that comes with the maps!
For version: 1.7.10-1.1.1
A demo map so that map makers can see how the various mechanics works in the 1.1.1 version.
On later Amnesia Mod versions this may differ.
For version: 1.8.9-1.2.1

Lag is one of those things one must account for. Though it tends to cause LESS lag than you might think, given that lights only update on active chunks. I would appreciate that Fluffy (The Config Thing)... Your Amnesia Lights is my current go-to for my lighting solution. It's one part of a complex set of Mods (Loot++, which removes Glowstone recipes and makes Netherrack not burn outside the nether, Hardcore Darkness that removes the minimal block light level (making it 0), and Light Control, which sets the light level of things like Lava to 8)...
It's been a bit of a trial trying to get it all working right.
Your welcome, i like the idea of yours to make MC more "realistic".
Well it was not that much about lag anyways i know that TileEntities not update, but on active chunks and there(Chunk loaders might cause even more lag). I could implement the thing rather easily, but the thing is i never wanted them to work like that.
Im not really sure if im okay with the idea of optional temporaly candles, roof lanterns, ect...

I would love to have fuel levels available for all light-sources. Chandeliers, Roof Lanterns, and Candles. In some cases, such as candles, you wouldn't be able to refill those fuel sources (obviously, as a candle burns out and is gone). But I'm aiming for a 'no permanent light-sources' option.
Some of the recipes are thematically appropriate for what I'm using your mod for. Roof Lanterns, Flash Lights, Electrical Miner's Helmets, none of these are relevant to my interests or my mod packs.
Well i got your point now, but you have to understand that will cause lag, because of the tileentities update every tick, and if you got a lot of those lightsources placed down. My mod make vanilla torches to burn down after 2 hour, to make my lightsources more useful, i cant add that feature, im sorry!
As for the recipes, i could make a config for each recipe that you could disable.

Well, this mod is fantastic. Definitely hard on performance, so those with less powerful computers may have severe frame-rate problems; but still fantastic. Great models and sounds, and having to fuel the lights adds a certain tension to exploring caves. I also tried it with Hardcore Darkness, which made it even more awesome. Exploring the pitch black forests under a new moon with nothing but a lantern to light the way is a truly spooky experience. It hearkens back to the early days of Minecraft, when the brightness slider didn't exist and darkness was a major threat.
Anyway, great mod, 9/10, has exactly enough cowbell.
Small idea: what if the lantern were also wearable on your belt, or there were a mining helmet variant for the flashlight? That way you could mine and fight while using light by sacrificing an armor slot.
Thanks, glad you like it! You could try Optifine it will get rid of the lag caused by the light update, for sure.
I can make a wearable flashlight on your head on the next update.
Yes they do, but this mod is orianted for exporing without the need of tonn of torches.
Also horror maps would be cool.
Than you could use the flashlight where you cannot place torches easily.

Config systemThe configs are crated in the .minecraft/config and in your .minecraft/saves/Yourworld/LanternConfigs!
Its using the "global" config for all worlds by default, but if you want you can enable the world specific config so it will load that instead.
To enable the world specific config, find your world folder, go to LanternConfigs than open the config file. Now set the default config to true and you are done!
This makes custom maps much easier to configure.
Lanterns and Flashlights
A portable lightsource that makes light around you, for the cost of oil.
You can place it on the ground or hang it.
When you are holding it, press F(by default), to turn it on or off.
If its placed down right click to toggle it and SHIFT+right click to pick it up.
ALso when its placed down you can right click on it with Lantern oil to refill it.
The fuel source of the lantern.
You can place it down and pick it up when you right click on it.
A modern portable light source, that can light the area where you point it.
It needs power to work, that you can get from Redstone blocks.
To toggle it press F(by default).
You cannot place it down!

To install the mod simply put it in your mods forlder!
