2 months? this wasnt like that since 1.2..., I played alot since 1.2 was released.
was this change really released with 1.2.5? mobs drop iron equipment and skeletons drop bows?
X_X... anyway to disable this in my game? this is just ridiculous, even if it is in 1.2.5
1. zombies drop iron equipment
2. skeletons now drop bows.
IMO this needs to be changed, this just makes the game hell of a lot easier, and it was already easy since 1.0
These have caused problems for a few users, try the 280.26s
This sounds like you did not place it in the same folder as minecraft.exe, otherwise check for typos in the filename, or possibly Minecraft.exe is actually Minecraft(2).exe, etc, either rename it or change the .bat to match.
nope, its the same folder, the desktop.
i wonder if "the desktop" gives someone a facepalm... because i might be doing things wrong
Try doing this
Open notepad and write this line
"C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe" -Xms2048m -Xmx2048m -jar Minecraft.exe
Save the file as bat by choosing all files instead of text document
Place the file in the same place as Minecraft.exe (Minecraft.exe is the launcher that you use to log into Minecraft with)
Now everytime you play Minecraft double click the bat file and Minecraft will use 64Bit Java.
i got the error "unable to access jarfile minecraft.exe"
If you run Java on a command line, try passing the -D64 switch, this should make Java use 64-bit if available. Alternatively invoke the 64-bit version of java directly. In 64-bit windows that should be "C:/program files/Java/Jre*/bin/Java.exe" where * is the version of Java (should either be 6 or 7)
Uninstall both, then install the newest x64? Just a tip.
Also did you install proper Video card driver? Windows 7 installs one but you need to download the normal one from nvidia/amd. (You didn't tell if you have)
...
i have an nvidia gt 240
i3 3.2Ghz 550.
4gb ram.
i did uninstall them both, i tried everything that is simple.
and yes, i have the latest drivers.
285.62
minecraft just cant detect java 64 bit.
each time i do so it says i need to install the 32 bit one.
i have windows 7 64bit.
yes, i do.
but minecraft cannot detect it and uses the 32 bit version of java.
i have both.
and when i try to delete the 32 bit version it doesnt detect it AT ALL.
