posted a message on What is people's obsession with consoles?
They don't like to be able to use community mods?
Being someone who at different times has been both a PC and a Console child, I can honestly say that it's just a matter of, sometimes, you don't feel like having to remember a keyboard of controls, because whereas computers are meant to, as their name states, make computations, process things, consoles are streamlined JUST for gaming.

But we are the PC Master Race.
We know that being able to upgrade your gaming machine is better.

Case is closed. I have no desire to engage trolls.

Teehee. The troll doesn't want to engage his own kin.
(I don't quite think that grammar works, might want to throw "in conversation with" in there.)

Anyhow. I would say, sure, go for it, but I don't think you should start with it. Rather, I think it should be made in a similar fashion to a portal, placing certain blocks on the ground, and initiated with a catalyst of sorts (The catalyst of a portal being fire.).
Once you've created something you have ownership over it, and you cannot create a second if you have Prime Ownership over one, though if you have Secondary Ownership over another's you can still create your own, so long as you don't have Prime Ownership.
Now, nothing should be indestructable. Despite my (pseudo)support for this idea, I am still favourable to the raiders' side. I would prefer to be capable of raiding enemies if they are foolish enough to allow me to find their home, and if they raid me back(or raid before I raid them, even), meh, so long as the blocks are put to use.

Finally; Your definition of griefing uses clear Creative overtones. If I break a single block/steal a single item for the purpose of using it myself, that's not griefing. That's stealing. What about if I burn your house and take nothing from it, just destroy everything, I clearly didn't what what you had, whether I just wanted to be a douchebag, or you're an enemy, or even, hell, I just felt like a pyro.
This is still not griefing. This is called raiding. A combination of Raiding and Stealing will still fall under the raiding category. I will summarize.

    Tl;dr:
Troll doesn't want to -ahem-"engage" another troll.
    Support with modifications(Don'tStartWithFlag, CanGrantSecondaryOwnership, NothingIndestructable)
Stealing; Taking one or more items for personal use.
Raiding; Destruction of property as an act of war or otherwise
    Griefing =/= Stealing or Raiding

I don't think many servers will be open to this idea, mate.
"Friendly griefing" is still griefing, and I don't quite think anyone will be welcoming you in as such.

Regardless; good luck with your testing, I suppose.

Bah, either the server's down, or we've got a whitelist or such. If it's the latter, could I be added to said whitelist? ^.^'

This doesn't fix the "My materials were stolen T.T" problem, it just converts it into the "My materials were destroyed T.T" problem.

Essentially, it does little but make a griefer have to break naught but one box to rid you of everything you care for.

Well, Redstone clearly carries electronic signals along, i.e. it's likely magnetic, and as such, it's possible your spawn point is the magnetic pole of your world.
If you think about it, everything in minecraft is possible in some way. I'd say the exception being skeletons, but I'm sure someone could correct that with a possibility.

    [Edit;] Bloody ninjas O.o

First of all, the gods love creative minds, all the better to amuse them with creative kills :biggrin.gif:

I would actually debate that Grandfather Nurgle is set against innovation, as he is patron of decay, death and stagnation. This is one of the reason's why followers of The Ancient One and the Weaver of Fate are so often in arms against one another.

Actually, that is somewhat untrue, because one would definately have to be innovative to create such virulent poxes and viruses!

    Or just twisted

My book will be as such
    "◻◻ ◻◻◻ ◻ ◻◻◻◻ ◻ ◻◻ ◻◻◻ ◻◻ ◻◻◻◻ ◻ ◻◻◻◻◻"

The reader will be like "...The ****...?"
Then they will understand the jokes, and lulz will be had.

    You're just a tad picky, aren't you? :tongue.gif:
Personally I'd prefer a snowy biome on a mountain, but that's too rare, or a desert, namely because I like the whole Mountain-side-snow-house theme, and I like deserts because Cacti-walls are so easy there xD

Does anyone fancy filling me in with what's actually wrong with global chat in the first place or am I just missing something blaintently obvious?

    -Neil

The idea is that the name is Azrooh's Roleplaying and we don't actually do any roleplaying, so far as I know, and as such perhaps if there's no global chat people will.

If not that, then I have no idea what it is.

Wise pig or possibly conscious pig or such. Anyhow, I'm going to be hiding my goods somewhere a thief'd likely not look, as I have been for a while xD
