Today I started on something new. Maybe, just maybe, I'll actually finish this one.

This is the end of the spawn area, called The Final Sunset. If I actually go through with this, it will be replacing The Pillars of Creation as my second full map. I've pretty much lost interest in that other map - I started making it over a year ago and never finished I1.

(Sorry I haven't posted on here or in any Skype chats since September. I blame it on a combination of being busy and being interested in other things. Maybe I'll try to participate in the next Jam, whenever that is - mid February, was it?)

I've already seen this block variotion like 'thousand' of times. This is getting kinda repetetive.

So, I'm thinking about running out 9th Jam sometime in February, with a Valentine's Day-ish theme. How many people would be up for it, and potentially available for those weekends?

Count me in.But can you change theme please?I don't really like it.

    ]Sunlit Sky - Sponge Challenge 1 - uCTM-ish map
I made a map called "Sunlit Sky", and I plan to have it be the first of a series of CTM-ish maps that I make. I guess this would be considered a uCTM because you don't actually complete a monument, and there are 64 things to collect instead of just 16 (or however many wool colors there are). I guess this is still kind of a CTM, because it's played almost exactly like a CTM, you just don't have a monument. The goal is just to collect the items.
Since this is a Sponge Challenge, the items are naturally sponges. You can't really get those normally, so I figured it would be a good thing to have players collect. The 64 sponges are scattered in chests throughout the open-world map, with areas loosely increasing in difficulty the farther you go from the spawnpoint. The map is limitless, but the sponges are all within a few hundred blocks of spawn.
Since it's an open-world map, exploration is needed, and it might be difficult to find sponges once you get down to the last few. Also, since the goal is to collect 64 sponges, and there are only 64, keepInventory is enabled by default so that you don't lose any sponges that you pick up.
My Sponge Challenges aren't made with MCedit, they're created in-game (at least so far). I use custom world generation settings to modify each map. Sunlit Sky consists of flying islands of various sizes with an infinite ocean below (I suppose that's nicer than void). Also, my Sponge Challenges tend to use alternate dimensions somewhat. Usually, sponges in alternate dimensions are very close to the portal (within 200 blocks at most). Portals are also premade somewhere in the map, which is a good way to tell if you're supposed to go into other dimensions.

In Sunlit Sky, about 10 sponges are hidden in the Nether (give or take). Quite a few are in one particular Nether cavern that I would advise not going to until you're very well equipped, or you'll probably get destroyed.

    Download Sunlit Sky

I'd also appreciate it if you could give me any suggestions/comments that you have. I'm planning on releasing an alternate version of Sunlit Sky called "Shadowed Sky - Sponge Challenge 1+", which is a more difficult version of Sunlit Sky. Please let me know what you think I could change to make the map a bit more evil for that version. Also, if you're worried about anything blowing up (I tried to keep Sponge Chests far enough away from creeper and ghast spawners to avoid it), feel free to change the gamerule for that.
(Sponge Challenges for 1.9+ versions will have a sponge block as their icon on the world selection menu, and each Sponge Challenge+ will have a sponge with inverted colors as its icon)

    map looks nice too.

Fangride knows about this, and approves of this. I'm part of the Skype chat that was suggesting names, and this is different from the jam. Stop ****ting on things when you have no evidence to base it off of.

EDIT: Actually, how is this ripping off the jam? It's similar, but VERY different!

    lol.I just kidding.This was a joke.

    ter]Hello CTM Community!
Some of you may know me, others may not by I'm coolfool88 and I'm here with another community idea :) This is an idea that spurred from the Strawberry Jam to create another CTM Challenge that doesn't have a time limit! I'm calling it the CTM Ditto Challenge where the only rule is that you have to create a One Objective CTM with one area that is named whatever name is voted on!
For example, if the name "Black Library" wins then you would have to build a map with your interpretation of Black Library!
Here is the link to the thread: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/maps/maps-discussion/2555251-the-ctm-ditto-challenge?comment=1
And here is the link to a straw poll where you can vote on the first name! http://strawpoll.me/5934897
Hopefully people find this interesting and will enjoy :D
