    all of those piston based elevators are broken because the redstone current travels faster than the pistons will push you up.

    some timing based piston jumping puzzles are off for a similar reason, making them harder/impossible.

    As for that mention of rapid repeaters, I hooked a crude one (not good at redstone >.<) to a dispenser. 1.2.5, that thing shot off a barrage of arrows. Now it always fires precisely four. No pistons in that, but there you go.

    do note that cookies are the single worst food in the game for saturation quality. Wash your zombie meat down with milk and it's better.

    though I suppose this would be a lot easier to set up than a mega melon farm, less pistons needed in particular. That's the cost I suppose.

    well terrain generation changes. was that chunk of terrain explored on your server when there was not a stronghold, then one of the patches altered terrain generation, and there is no longer a stronghold there? Gah I don't know how to put it in words, the eyes of ender direct you to where a stronghold WOULD be if you made a fresh world with your server's seed right now. If you explored that area say, before strongholds came out, there's no stronghold there.

    It's weird, I know. >.<

    the ability to swap the player's modes would be interesting indeed. Instead of those clumsy signs saying "you cannot break X in this area only" I sometimes see in normally rule free maps, just step on a pressure plate at the entrance and exit that locks you in adventure mode.

    with the boats breaking (BY THE PLAYER) into boats change, the dock is less necessary, it's easier to just break the boat as you reach the shore rather than try to dismount it.

    I have overall noticed very little stability change from SSP, I hope laggy multiplayer servers are this good. I'm really glad for the lillypad change in particular. Stupid quad mountain and its stupid lillypad ocean...

    I don't know of anything else that has been promised, but I for one think we need

    -the ability to place and fully modify mob spawners in creative mode by placing a pig spawner from the menu and then right clicking it. that means the charged creepers, potion effects, the whole nine yards
    -mob spawner eggs for some scary boss monsters to put in adventure maps
    -MOAR BLOX
    -use for ocean biomes. add higher visibility underwater and some ocean biome specific goodies
    -enchantable fishing poles for decreased catch time and a rarer "fire aspect" style enchant that pre-cooks the fish! and of course unbreaking

    So far just on my creative test world I'd say super hostile level mobs will be damn near impossible, but pretty much everything else is playable. I haven't noticed the godawful "attempt to sprint, player spazzes inbetween sprinting and non-sprinting and falls off the jumping puzzle" error yet in singleplayer. That's a plus.

    the piston lag is breaking contraptions left and right though, that's annoying. Elevators and most timed piston jumping puzzles are wonky.

    the issue with MCpatcher not allowing you to patch HD textures meant that the old MCpatcher for 1.2.5 (I don't think he's actually had to change anything to it in ages) wasn't working. There's a patch 1.3 prerelease version up now.

    pics would definitely help. Show us a particularly absurd looking house that showcases a lot of the new block looks, or at least one of those giant showcases that puts all the actual blocks on a stand (I think there are premade worlds you can download with that)

    oh god yes. What I'm seeing is, in 1.3 with servers having the ability to recommend texture packs to auto-download, put THIS as the texture pack and watch the chaos! >: D

    it'll need to have all the textures updated to 1.3 though, sounds like this is a little old.

    what I imagine in making the slendermen thing work would be the "notes" requiring pressing a button or triggering a mob spawner that spawns an enderman. Special retexture so he looks like slender man (painterly has an okay one). With the 1.3 changes to spawners you could have him come out of a hidden spawner near the note and spawn with GODMODE level potion effects that make him invulnerable AND fast.

    also if not done already, some sort of ceiling of bedrock/obsidian to keep the forest nice and dark. Though there runs the risk of endermen being far from the worst things lurking around. You can't really set it to "allow only spawning of endermen, no other hostile mobs"

    I see much potential in this map. I'm mostly running off of descriptions by people who've tried it though, I'll have to look at the map myself for additional constructive criticism.

    some more things I'm brainstorming as I think back to the Slender game:

    -crappy torch = obsidian roof makes it constant nighttime, and you only get a few torches?
    -optional hardcore mode?
    -the "notes" = written books or edited maps? As people look at it, the hidden enderman spawner activates spawning aforementioned godmode slenderman
    -difficulty sprinting for extended period of time = could just give the player no food, start him off starving, then each of the notes only giving you a couple of cookies or melons for a very temporary sprint and no health regen. For health, potions, that way you can limit that too.

    dropbox is down. XD to be expected with such a good texture pack being updated so quickly. I'll check again in a day or two. In the meantime, feedback!

    textures I love:
    -diamond/iron armor
    -overall staying faithful enough to the basic texture pack that adventure maps don't end up looking weird
    -those paintings o_O

    textures I don't like:
    -leather looks goofy :/
    -I prefer fancy king clothes as gold armor
    -cobblestone + mossy cobblestone look too different, so meshing them together in builds looks weird

    this is probably my most used texture pack next to painterly, love it overall.

    I think that's because you're using the pre-release 1.3, servers are probably mostly 1.2.5. I don't know how/why it works, but servers and you have to be on the same minecraft version.

    Any way, this mod is so crucial to my gameplay (jumping puzzles are nearly impossible with my typical crap framerate) that I am just going to camp here for the next 1-10 weeks it takes for this to update.

    Anyone have a flint and steel for a campfire?
