I still go by the mobium theory.

Mobs, even non-aggressive ones, are all made of a substance called "Mobium" Mobium comes in three forms: Undead Mobium, Animal Mobium, and Explosive Mobium. different mobs have different levels of different Mobiums. for example, a Spider is 60% Undead Mobium, and 40% Animal Mobium. Mobs without any Animal Mobium burn in sunlight, as the Undead and Explosive Mobiums are reactive to sunlight. any amount of Animal Mobium negates the effect of sunlight. listed below are characteristics of the three Mobiums:
Animal Mobium:
Animal Mobium is the tamest of Mobiums. Animal Mobium induces a sense of kindness towards players, though it is only brought out in sunlight. further, if a mob has a too low level of Animal Mobium, it will attack, even in daylight. Animal Mobium protects mobs from sunlight, and if a mob has an Animal Mobium level higher than 70%, it will spawn in daylight. examples of Mobs with over 70% Animal Mobium:
Pigs (100% Animal Mobium)
Cows (100% Animal Mobium)
Sheep (100% Animal Mobium)
Chickens (80% Animal Mobium, 20% Undead Mobium)
Squid are a special case. it is entirely possibe that Squid are made up of an entirely new Mobium, sometimes called Water Mobium
Undead Mobium:
Undead Mobium brings out the evil in mobs. Mobs with high levels of Undead Mobium will spawn in the darkness, especially in caves. Undead Mobium is unstable when in contact with sunlight, and may burn if it is in too high concentrations. Mobs with a high enough level of Undead Mobium will attack the player on sight (the threshold is about 30% minimum to attack on sight, 25% minimum to attack only when attacked.). If a mob has an Undead Mobium level of over 60%, it will burn in sunlight. examples of Mobs with Undead Mobium:
Zombies (100% Undead Mobium)
Skeletons (100% Undead Mobium)
Creepers (35% Undead Mobium, 30% Explosive Mobium, and 35% Animal Mobium)
Spiders (50% Animal Mobium, 50% Undead Mobium)
Ghasts (50% Explosive Mobium, 30% Undead Mobium, 20% Animal Mobium)
Zombie Pigmen (50% Undead Mobium, 50% Animal Mobium)
Explosive Mobium:
Explosive Mobium is the most mysterious of all Mobiums, and little is known about it, what is known is that Explosive Mobium gives mobs the ability to use explosive weapons. it is believed that a level of Explosive Mobium of about 50% gives the mob the ability to fire explosives, whereas lower levels only allow the mob to explode itself. mobs with Explosive Mobium:
Creepers (35% Undead Mobium, 30% Explosive Mobium, and 35% Animal Mobium)
Ghasts (50% Explosive Mobium, 30% Undead Mobium, 20% Animal Mobium)
How is this relevent to where mobs come from, you might ask? well, there are five Planes of Existence discovered in Minecraft so far: the Overworld, the Nether, the Animal Mobium Plane, the Undead Mobium Plane, and the Explosive Mobium Plane. only mobs can enter the Mobium Planes, and only specific mobs can enter each plane, though all can draw power from every Plane. when a suitable place for spawining appears in the Nether or the Overworld, a miniscule portal connects the spot with its respective Plane, and then a mob is dematerialized, sucked into the portal, and comes out on this end, seemingly out of the air. when a mob is killed, it leaves behind a portion of its Mobium. for example, Leather, Wool, String, and Porkchops are manifestations of Animal Mobium, and Feathers, Arrows, and Bones are manifestations of Undead Mobium. Sulphur is the only known manifestation of Explosive Mobium. after a mob dies, and its portion of Mobium is left in either the Nether or the Overworld, it is pulled through another micro-portal in a puff of smoke. the portal lasts only a fraction of a second, so no Human has ever entered one and come out in a Mobium Plane.
This is your lesson on Mobs for today. thank you.
Are these good specs for running minecraft on normal render distance continuously, with all other settings at minimal?

I'm the only one to agree with the OP so far, it seems. I've never really looked at that way before, but it makes sence. Would you rather have original creatures like ghasts and creepers, or half-assed cliches like dragons?
