    Sorry have you ever played this mod? or the lotr mod? no? clearly not, they are at polar opposites and would fit in no way shape or form. Yes, they are both fantasy, but using any items from lotr in any form subverts the ENTIRE progression system of minefantasy.


    but no, you just found this and was like "woa! swords! you know what would go great with it?"

    Mana steel and elementium are exact to vanilla iron, only manasteel has MUCH higher enchantability, and elementium has pixies that fly out of it. Terrasteel is slightly better then vanilla diamond with the enchantability of gold, however would be ranked higher then Mithril/Adamantium, but not as high as the masterwork tiers.

    So, im using the 1.7.10 version. im trying to get npcs to spawn in natural structures in the world. the only problem with this is the factions, if i use anything other then the defaults they get reset in a new world, is there any way that the faction data be transferred between worlds?

    So, in the config file there is a weight.json, is it possible to make custom values for weight, like make a diamond sword weigh 20? or is it something else? either way i haven't seen any info on it anywhere.

    Perhaps not the current version, but the soon-to-be version.... make a blade from a material, a hilt from another material, and something for a raping, put it together and you get the tool. combined with the fact that all the high tiered materials is just "everything before it in a pot" with things like ignotumite needing just about every ore in the game mixed together to get it. its not a matter of jumping ship at the first sign of danger, the first sign of danger was when it was first released and the author anounced it would be "much more simple then MF1 and easyer for new players" there was the iceberg for ya. the new system combined with the fact that the hardest part about high level tools is that the mod wont allow you to make them untill you have made an arbitrary amount of picaxes of a lower tier material. the ship is sinking, and there is no hope for it. its been going that way for a while now.

    The original idea for this modpack was started when MF2 still had promise, now there is nothing left in the mod, its just a jumble of half done thoughts and ideas. every new change to the mod as ap puts it "making it more accessible to new players." which seems to be making it so completely dumbed down with no challenge or any of the hardcore features the old one did. So simply put, this modpack was abandoned due to the main frame work mod trying to become a tinkers clone. if you still want to play on a server/modpack this was based on, ill leave a link to an older version, but still best version.

    Yes i did start on a 1.7.10 version. mostly because 1.7 was new and had so many new mod possibility. also i started it when MF2 looked like it was more or less solid, with only a few more version before it gets out of alpha. Also, with a heavy load of Minetweaks, i was able to recreate the hardcore mode. but after a few updates by AP it became apparent that he had no idea why people gave a **** about his mod and decided to dumb down everything to the lowest common denominator. Hence why i have not posted anything about the 1.7 in months.
