I played this with a friend and was disappointed. I mean no offense but I'm going to list our gripes we had while playing through it and maybe you can enlighten us.
1) The first room had nothing to it. Aside from getting the 1 sugar I(player 2) randomly stepped on pressure plates and realized it opened the way to advance. Not a bad room though. The windows gave us goos visuals of both sides of the puzzle which is good for co-op maps. It introduced the transportation system as well which was good. I just wish it involved a little thinking to complete.
2) After the first room you lose sight of your teammate which is very bad in my opinion. If you don't have communication via Skype or something similar you're at a disadvantage immediatly. I had communication and here was my experience:
On my side of the room I had some sugar and a dispenser for transporting goods. I also had some dirt so I dug up a piece and gave my stuff to my teammate. On his side he said he had a pool of water with no way to get out initially. He also had pressure plates at the bottom of the pool. He used the dirt I gave him to advance. I had an iron door barring my way so I couldn't go anywhere. My teammate reached a room with more pressure plates and an iron door and no matter what he did nothing reacted and were were stuck. Out of frustration we just went creative and broke our way through.
3) As mentioned, nothing we did had a reaction on anything else. It was frustrating not seeing any results when trying all the options we could. Some indicators as to what were doing right would be great to have. This combined with not seeing my teammate made this map more frustrating than I think it really is.
I think this map could be really amazing but I feel like it isn't emphasizing the fact that you have a second player there with you as much as it could be. It really felt like 2 single player puzzle maps put together and called a co-op map and I don't think it should feel that way. I think it has a lot of potential but it's not there yet. Was interesting though all the way through, until we got stuck of course.
No mods required and you must play with two players. I'll edit that stuff in. To be honest I though saying co-op would imply 2 players as a mandatory requirement.

And, despite this being shameful advertising, I'd like to ask you to try out our puzzle map and give us some feedback as well:
