Eureka Seven and School Rumble are other anime I like...SR is just...super funny.
E7, I...er...really don't know how to explain...it has giant air surfing robots in it. (honestly I only got into that anime because of Eureka, lol)

It kinda depends...since it doesn't really take itself too seriously with story and all that. If you're in it for the girls and giant spaceship explosions and stuff, then go for it. xD (also comedy)
