Unfortunately, this is not to be. Shadowclaimer is "currently" working on Metallurgy 5 which will be developed for 1.9 (according to the post). It will not be backported, and Metallurgy 4 will not be updated any longer. Unfortunately though, Shadowclaimer spends relatively little time on developing Metallurgy. The last we've heard of it was on the 14th of May 2016. So... in about a month or so we can declare it dead.
4. The game never got the message that I arrived successfully and kept sending me to the apocalypse every loop, regardless of where I was.
5. Thus the game tried to send me from the Apocalypse to the Apocalypse -> crash
6. After creating the home portal in as little time as I had, I saw that the explosions never stopped, and it sent me flying right back to the apocalypse, with an appropriate crash.
Is it game breaking? Absolutely.
Or at least, that's what I could gather from the logs and from what I did.
I really like that every metal in metallurgy has a color scheme of exactly five colors and it was a little dissapointing that the nuggets didn't have that.
My bad. I did it reluctantly, because I didn't see the purpose. My apologies.
Whatever happened to the gems supposedly being added in Metallurgy 3?
They have never been on the todo list, as far as I'm concerned. Also, for questions about Metallurgy 3, contact Shadowclaimer, on twitter: @Shadowclaimer.
have you though about making the armor textures 3D like the cult armor from thaumcraft? because right now they don't look as good as they could because most of the armor pieces have stuff sticking out of them and it just flat when you put it on.
would it just be to much work to make them all 3D or what.
If possible, I support this idea. 3d armor is so cool. I would definitely use the mod more often if it had 3d armor.
I most certainly have considered, but please consider that we have a bazillion armour-types. Also, the current armour textures look really bad. They were made by a third, someone not part of Team Metallurgy.
I won't make it, because it wouldn't be worth the effort, as I don't wear armour that often anyway, and I also don't really have that kind of time.
Are the recipes available in NEI? Anyways, glad that the mod's updated. I love food mods like this. Hehe... Keep up the good work, my dear modder!
EDIT: I saw 1.7.10 on the title, but is it already updated? I'm confused. The download link at Forge says it's for 1.6.4 .... am I missing something or what?

Another crash from the apocalypse:

1. I started a new world
2. I commenced the apocalypse
3. As I was teleported to the Apocalypse, I got the lootcrash mentioned before: http://pastebin.com/HKZeCW45

In the apocalypse the world keeps crashing because it has problems with generating certain structures:

It's nice to see a new iteration of Metallurgy coming up, especially if it has lots of new stuff.
I'm looking forward to it.
Too bad I can't follow progress on Twitter tho :/

See the previous 3 posts.
Yes, the 1.6.4 version has NEI compatibility.
