    The only real issue here is that Shader installer is hardcoded to work with A4 and karyonix never got around to fixing it. There are workarounds. And it's a non-issue if you use a modloader (Forge/Liteloader).


    Much sorries bud, I tried searching the thread to see if anyone else has already mentioned this exact situation but the search seems to be borked, as usual. Leaving these all here for future searchers. I didn't re-install forge or anything, I just switched out the A4 Optifine for the C1 and all was fine. I haven't noticed any negative side-effects either. Sorry again and thanks again, Grimallq, I am truly sorry that people are obviously stupid and not willing to look for themselves. I did, and came up empty-handed; so I asked.

    Switched to OptiFine_1.7.10_HD_U_C1 and it worked fine. Still not sure if this is the best Optifine for 1.7.10, but it works.

    Not sure what my problem is, can run 1.8 no problem. If I try 1.7.10, it goes smooth until I try to go into a world. Server crashes immediately at startup. Reinstalled the jars several times thinking I messed up the order. Don't think that's the case.


    Crash report in spoiler. Using the latest AMD drivers, and it works for 1.8. Any help would be appreciated. Trying it using ShadersModCore-v2.3.28-mc1.7.10-f as it says to do.

    Howdy Druha, looks like you are doing well with the pack. As always, I enjoy using it. I'm curious if you have any thoughts on possibly adding specular and bump maps to the texture packs. I understand that is a massive undertaking, but it would look amazing. I'm running SEUS shaders now on 1.8 and it's beautiful, but I've found that I need to mix and match packs these days as so few people do specular and bump maps.

    Will be downloading and running it on top of several other packs to try to create a Frankenstein's monster of a bump and specular pack for myself. Such a pain in the ass, but I'm not a massive fan of ChromaHills.

    Sad to see the passing of the torch, but glad to see someone keeping interest in the mod. This mod and buildcraft (For the oil), are literally my two favourite mods. This one in particular adds so much flavour to the game. I just want it to be updated for 1.8 forge. You asked for our words. So I am giving them. It's an excellent mod and I hope to see it updated. No real suggestions other than updating since it's pretty much perfect as it is.

    Onto another note. Yo, Druha, you fuddling with Zombs 3D stuff at all? Bunches of stuff still explodes into broken textures. Only thing I can think of off the top of my head at the moment is torches. Loving everything else and I am glad you took the reins. Just one negative thing to say. What the hell happened to the sheepies? They are straaange looking now. And did you change the mutton icon?

    I like that we both just copied over the old VDC snow as a template.
