I completely agree it is subjective, but I was curious to see what anybody's choices would be besides the options I stated or the lengths anyone would go. So any answer is not wrong or right in this situation.
Mekanism I agree is the great for x3, I was thinking a bit overboard as you could tell when mentioning other options but I did type this up later in the day so I messed up a bit of things there.
I'd never expected Reika's but for the effort you have to understand already/work out however you can due to the 'learning' curve without such knowledge of that is very true.
Immersive & Ender IO are very appealing for those reasons though I'll agree with that, I haven't thought about it that way since I don't use them anymore and they had fallen out of my mind since.
You do make a good point there that I hadn't considered.

I wouldn't bother unless you understand personally identifiable information and the general data protection regulation. I still bet $50 this is the real reason they are closing the forums.

It is amazing how 1 game can bring so many different people, with so many different preferred play styles, so much enjoyment. I am probably in the minority when it comes to preferred play style. I LOVE analyzing situations and building systems to improve complex problems, which is why Gregtech and Rekia's mods are some of my favorites... but they are also much hated by many, for the very same reason.

It's probably considered advertising even though I have nothing to gain from it. You can google chaotic shiny.

Try using the random name generator at chaotic shiny for ideas. That's what I do when I get stuck.

First and foremost, make a file somewhere to keep all of your internet passwords in. If you do this, you will not need to worry about not having a physical disc to install your software. Example, you buy MC Java but 5 years from now you want to reinstall it after a 4 year break. You don't have a physical disc to install with, but you do have your log in and password sheet that you created. Simply refer to the sheet, go to the web address and redownload it.

How is this racist?

This is why I run my own private server and vet people before inviting them rather than sending any Tom, ****, or Sally to my server.

I don't know about anyone else, but I have spent hours sifting through the mods on curse.com 1 at a time. Sounds like a lot of work, but if it gets me the results I want, its worth it.

I also encourage you to think about how you have fun in Minecraft and then advertise to THAT TYPE of player. For example, the best MC world I ever played was FTB Infinity with 1 other guy. We started a brand new world, logged in at the same time, lived cooperatively, shared resources and projects, It was so much fun. The neatest part about it was we that even though we are both long time modded players, we both taught each other something. He had no idea you could make such badass weapons in tinkers construct and I had no idea you could make fantastic armor so early in the game (I think it's called flux plated? Yellow colored armor with red on it)
Right now, I am personally super excited about the Advent of Ascension pack. If I could find someone who would play FTB Infinity + AoA or Resonant Rise + AOA with me under the above conditions, I would probably buy a server tonight lol.

I recently downloaded the Advent of Ascension mod pack and read the "getting started". One of the very first things it says is do not walk to a monster you are not familiar with. I loaded in, hey what is that.... loading, please wait.
