I've used Beastnode a lot. They have budget servers for $3/gb and it comes with a multicraft user interface.

So much has changed in Minecraft over the recent months. I thought it would be fun to see what pack (or not modpack at all!) everyone is playing. Make sure to add any individual mods you may have added or deleted.

I am playing FTB's Beyond with Lycanties Mobs added, on hard mode. A nice challenge!

I've only played since 1.7 but IMO it is a fantastic game, and I've logged an incalculable amount of hours on it, easily over 4,000 hours. (I base it on time spent in Dark Souls games, since it tracks number of hours played) I think the most important thing to having fun in MC is knowing what it is you enjoy. Big servers, small servers, private server, creative builds, tech builds, playing the 1 mod on a server that no one else plays, etc.

We all have seen the post entitled "What are some stupid ban/kick/jail reasons you have seen or experienced." I thought it would be fun to turn the table a little bit and ask what are some of the stupidest things that have occurred in public or whitelisted servers that caused you to quit that server on the spot?

I like small, private, whitelisted servers where you can make friends. I once joined a server that had 3 other players on it and it was supposed to be a friendly, no pvp/trolling server. One day I logged in and someone had hid vishrooms all over my house. I took the time to clear them all out and asked nicely if people would not prank my base. The next time I logged in they had hid cicadas all over my base which was even worse. Needless to say, I left the server and didn't come back.

My favorite is small and cooperative =)

This is why I run my own private server and vet people before inviting them rather than sending any Tom, ****, or Sally to my server.

Your building is truly amazing, the castle especially. Following this thread so I can keep an eye on the project.

As you know, something different appeals to everyone and even each persons taste changes on a regular basis. For me, I am a tech builder and enjoy the tech tree progression. When I reach the top of my tech tree I expect to be insanely overpowered (see things like Dragonic Evolution, Mekanism's Digital Miner, etc) I also enjoy the boss fights and a large variety of dimensions that came with mods like Twilight Forest and Advent of Ascension.

The flip side of the coin, what makes a pack unfun for me, is to have major gaps between strength levels in the progression tree (think DW20 1.1.0 just before you get flight)

I know this is not directly related to your seed question, but I want to offer a suggestion. When you die and lose all of your important items, why don't you just turn on cheats for a moment and give your self back the most important items, then turn cheats off again? Yes, it is cheating, but it also prevents you from starting all the way over. I mean the game is about having fun right? For me there are certain items that once I have built them, I refuse to let them go because of a death, like a vibrant jetpack or resonant jetpack. I just freakin hate making those things!
