Hahaha. Love to the cathedral, man. And well done on everything. Its all come together really good and I can assure you us public love your work so post away, my friend! :iapprove: You should host a server of it and let us party on your dance floor. lol. Only thing is I'm sure the king and queen are too lazy to stand, they should have a high seat somewhere where they can overlook the whole room and judge dance competitions.

    Good work Jacooo. APPROVED!
    Torches up!

I toured the server, absolutely brilliant work here. My cathedrals collapsed to the weight of such epicness. Very inspiring though. I now want to build bigger, even better. I shall find time to do so! Even if it kills me! :Skeleton:

Seriously, amazing work guys. Everyone needs to take a tour of this behemoth.

posted a message on Starcraft Battlecruiser with Minecraft (1:1 scale)
I may have got details in my works, but you beat me hands-down on epic scale and coolness. Everyone wants they're own battlecruiser to go pirating across the cosmos, not so much an old cathedral that just has pretty stained glass windows. lol.

Its a very cool project and you took it head on and for that I salute you. This is actually my favorite project I've seen here. Just because of the scale and awesomeness of the idea and how its being executed. Notch should make a patch where if you make a ship its functional and you can fly around the world with it. Of course, you'd have to make the world very low to fit it. lol. Just a bedrock and grass layer is all. Atleast it wouldnt take long to get to the "far lands". :iapprove:

I completely understand about not sharing the save for this. I almost didnt for my last project for various reasons. It'll keep us drooling and hoping for it one day. :Notch: I have a compromise in mind to keep your creation original and uncopied, and your fans to experience it. You could host a small public server with it. Plugins to keep other players from being able to touch it, only look. Like a museum server. Just an idea. Don't feel obligated to entertain it. Just would love to walk amongst its corridors myself.

As always, keep up the brilliant work!

    Hello again bach914!

You project has gone so far and so magnificent its beautiful to look at. You should be very proud of your accomplishment. We're all jealous and wish we had one ourselves. Lol. How many can say they have their own accessible battlecruiser!? :iapprove:

My internet is slow and fails to load most pictures from your most recent updates, but from what I can see you've added much more interior things and did a lot of work on that bridge. Have you done any work on a cantina or a lab? If so I probably missed those pictures, and will try to get them to load again.

Again though, incredible work. If this isnt in some archives, it needs to be!

Ok, enough of the weird accent. Have you moved onto another project or hard hard at work on this one? Or on your own vacation. Lol. We all need one. The supports are looking good and the beacons as well. Like the farm design, the overhead view makes me think its from an rts game or something. lol.

Want to see more! Keep up the good work!

Thanks everyone for your support. MUCH MUCH appreciated!

Looking for feedback and critiques! They'll allow me to do better on following projects! You can evaluate from the photos but playing in the world will let you get in depth looks at it and tell me what I can improve or add. The second to top floor of my towers are empty. Tell me what I can add in them! :cool.gif:

So far, 6 downloads of the world but only 1 texture pack download. I HIGHLY recommend you download it as well so the shrines appear correctly. Its not required, just advising. Have a texture pack that you think makes it look better? Tell me and I'll take a look!

Thanks again everyone! Keep on crafting!

Yep. This cathedral was made without any mods, every stone placed by hand. I used the Gerudoku texture package though, as you'll see on the thread in the screenshots forum I linked to. The video was captured using the default texture package.

My second cathedral, however, was done with the help of world edit, which saved the project so I endorse it. lol

    Hello again, Jacooo!

From what I can see, it looks like an exciting project! However, because my internet is so slow and dumb, It will only load a few pictures so I can't see everything. :sad.gif: Are the pictures in an album somewhere? If so can you send me a link cause they tend to load better on those sites for me, for whatever reason. Thanks! If not, I'll get them to load somehow. :smile.gif:

The first image loaded, showing the scale, and wow that is huge. My cathedral could fit in there, I think. lol. Definitely got your work cut out for ya.
I only got a couple views of the exterior of the castle, but it looks really good. Most castles I've seen tend to follow more extravagant layouts and odd shapes to be unique and "fantasy", and I've been waiting to see a straight up solid built castle like yours. I had started a castle from northern england (solid but had round towers on the corners. :tongue.gif: ) but I abandoned it early on. I'm loving how yours is turning out and want a tour of the inside ASAP. :biggrin.gif:

And yes, your entrance does look like a face, and pretty good too. The crown, nose, mouth, all distinct and noticeable. Even beard/mustache I would say. :smile.gif:

So there I was browsin around on the internets and I found a quick video done by xMinecraftCentral looking around some of my Cathedral of Notch. How cool is that?
So I decided to show him some love for doing it by broadcasting it. Just cause I think its neat someone went out of their way to do a quick video about something I made. :biggrin.gif:

Hahaha. That made me laugh Dutchie.

Ok! So as you'll find in the OP, the Download is now AVAILABLE through mediafire. Sorry I didn't release it in the first place.

Also as you'll see from the new thread title, I've renamed it the Mojang Cathedral because it now has the entire Mojang company included in it with shrines to each. Hope y'all enjoy! Please leave feedback! I want to be critiqued so I may do better on my next project.

Awe well I appreciate your appreciation of my comment. Lol. I understand about limitations. They can be rather troublesome. Sometimes its fun to find creative solutions with limited materials to get similar effects. lol.

Wings, eh. I dont see it happening. But I could be pleasantly surprised. :smile.gif:

New projects are always fun. I'll be scanning waiting to see what new you come up with. :cool.gif:

I saw that trench. I was like, thats one powerful shadow. It cuts through the earth! lol. But I wouldnt worry about a cluttered world full of experiments. You might come back and use them again some day, or look back for inspiration.

posted a message on Now called Mojang Cathedral
Well, my original plan was to make my private server public so that everyone could log in and take a look around and experience it without having to download and such. But as it turns out, after 2 days of trying, I can't get my server to go public. I can't get it past the local network. I've exhausted every source I could find, and almost crashed my network altogether. :tongue.gif: So, for now, that plan is out.

So where does that leave people getting to explore the cathedral. Well.... I MIGHT release the world download. Or atleast place it on a new map cause my test server is rather randomly cluttered. :smile.gif: I just updated to the new minecraft version and it seems to work fine with it, there were no solid blocks on the top layer of the world, only steps. Couple places I could add hatches, and maybe a library.

I'll be thinking on it. If I do decide to, I'll be sure to make a post about it when i get started with the process so be sure to watch the topic for updates.

A couple of notes I'll throw in here for the lovely people reading, the cathedral is 134 blocks long by 77 blocks wide, and stretches from sea level to the top of the sky limit. The portrait of Notch involved personally editing my texture package so if I do make a world download, I'll need to get my texture package updated to the new version and get that file put back in. Or release that file alone, and everyone can insert that file into their own texture packages. Too difficult maybe? What would y'all like to do?

Anyway, thanks everyone for the comments. Sorry eeleater, this was made on a private server so that isn't me as your neighbor. I would be your neighbor though. :laugh.gif: Hope y'all enjoyed this project so far. Perhaps a video preview in the mean time....?

posted a message on The Sky's The Limit! - Airship (WIP)
    Hello there Jacooo!

Lovin the ships. Excellent work you're doing there and loving how they've progressed.

I'm not sure how i've missed this thread for so long, but here's my two cents for ya.

On the airship, I don't think the shape of the balloon is a problem, but as stated the shadow is. One idea I had though, and I'm sorry if someone already suggested it and I missed it, but what if you added sails to the airship? You could do some creative things with it and it would take away that huge shadow. It'd give it more of a fantasy feel at the same time, to have engines and sails. As far as the airship itself though it looks REALLY good!

For your trireme, I love the main sail and how it widens toward the bottom. Have you tried putting the J in the sail itself, instead of having it on it sticking out. Its not a problem but it just doesnt feel so natural to me. But it may not look as good, so you can experiment with it to see what looks better.
For your second sail, not digging the design. I think a smaller version of the main sail would look better. Is it also off center? It looks like so in the screenshot. Could be deliberate. Just asking.

Excellent work youre doing there. Keep it up! Want to see more!
