Your children have their own minds, let them develop before pushing your religious memes on them.Posted in: Suggestions -

SonsOfLiberty86 posted a message on OptionsAs a current and past Catholic, former practitioner of Wicca, and one who has also studied the religions of Buddhism, Mormonism, Confucianism, Rastafarianism, and even LaVeyan Satanism, I can safely say everyone arguing here about Minecraft and religion does not understand Minecraft, nor the concept of video games as a form of human entertainment in general.Posted in: Suggestions
Minecraft isn't about religion. It's a game
Saying the Nether or potions are witchcraft is like equating Pokemon with deity worship
Minecraft enchanting, potion making, the Nether - none of those things exist in Wicca (or any form of Witchcraft that I have studied or heard of)
Nor are they a part of ANY of the religions I have studied, including all the ones I've listed
There is a huge gigantic line between fantasy for entertainment, and the worship of demons and being a heretic
Furthermore, if you are worried about "bad things" and protecting your children from them, hiding them away from them is not the way to have them be protected. Bad things are everywhere, in everything, in every part of life. To pretend they don't exist, and to shield your children from them and fool them into believing those things don't exist, is the same as lying to your children
Edit: Brian, I mean everything I have said with all due respect. I also just wanted to point out here that it would have been a lot easier (and a lot better) if you would have made your request without mentioning how you think using potions in a video game is "witchcraft", and how you need to "protect your children". If you left those things out, nobody would have thought you were starting trouble, and your requests would have been valid and credible. -

Mazzaroppi posted a message on OptionsSeems like you asume that game designers should always bother themselves to enable every player to alter their games so they would fit their own personal taste? And at the same time, the players themselves can't bother trying to find the fix themselves? Isn't this a little too much self-centered?Posted in: Suggestions -

I, for one, dont't support ANY portion of this game, because it feeds kids the idea that our worlds are generated randomly over millions of lines of code, rather than built block-by-block by a loving creator. Pure blasphemy!Posted in: Suggestions - To post a comment, please login.
