I do not support this, but I do think that a deployer is a great idea. First, doing this with dispensers allows early-mid game players to automate their farms, which, in my opinion, is a late-game thing. Second, villagers make this redundant and more end-game. I support deployers with an expensive recipe, but not dispensers planting seeds.
It would also be cool if the boat recipe got a bit of a increase in cost, along with MORE STURDINESSSSS! and let rafts take over as the cheap mode of transport.
Actually, my server is set on Hard and I'd love this on the server, but when I'm on my first night or the like, I wouldn't really want one of these monstrosities at my door. Also, I believe Mojang originally had this in mind, because spiders in Hard get some swanky buffs.
I like the aesthetics, but the combat alterations seem a bit too much. I would absolutely love the alterations, though, as long as they're specific to Hard difficulty and disable-able in server settings.
I suggest that a new selector in command blocks should be added for use with the /execute command. I had @ in mind, due to the default name of command blocks when using /say or /tell, but I'm welcome to suggestions for my suggestion .
Basically what this does is clones an area near the command block under the player. Note how if you wanted different outcomes from different command blocks, this suggestion would erase the need for new coords.
The thing is, before 1.8.5 rolls around, Mojang will likely have Andesite, Diorite, and Granite furnaces, tools, and whatever else. At the very least, I'm sure that they will at least be usable in the Cobblestone crafting recipes, with the Polished version doubling as Stone.
Aqua Affinity is already on tools... And it would be useless on armor, no support.
Aqua Affinity is an enchantment for armor (helmets, I believe) which raises your mining speed underwater. It is actually quite useful to counteract the mining speed debuff underwater and is essential for hardcore builders.

EXAMPLE:
/execute @p ~ ~ ~ clone 12412 42 54 12412 49 54 ~ ~4 ~ ~ ~ ~
With my suggestion:
/execute @p ~ ~ ~ clone @10 @5 @75 @10 @5 @75 ~ ~4 ~ ~ ~ ~
Basically what this does is clones an area near the command block under the player. Note how if you wanted different outcomes from different command blocks, this suggestion would erase the need for new coords.
TL;DR 2much complic8 m8:
@ is coordinates relative to command block.

Mojang is shunning the idea of more tool tiers, but this prismarine stuff is hinting at it!
