posted a message on Why we should get the old hunger system back
Need? No, we're doing just fine with the hunger system. Sprinting would be permanent and the hunger debuff would become useless. You want it, we don't need it so No Support.

An Enderman, because everyone says I'm gonna be tall when I'm fully grown and because Endermen are awesome IMO. I don't steal blocks though :P

Silverfish, they're small and have low health.

posted a message on Worst nether portal spawn
Spawned in mid-air, over a lava pool with a ghast trying to fire at me. At least I was able to build a little cobblestone platform while knocking the fireballs away, I went back to the overworld and built my portal elsewhere. The new one went to a decent place though.

posted a message on only op player can open chest, break block, and etc
If there is an OP in the world, all spawn protected blocks cannot be interacted with by non-OP players, so if you need an OP, open the server.properties file with notepad or a similar text editor and by the line where it says "spawn-protection=16" change the 16 to 0 (16 is default). If you don't need an OP, just make sure to de-op all OPs.

EDIT: Take note that the server must be restarted for any changes to the server.properties file to take place.

posted a message on What is the scariest moment you have ever had in Minecraft?
I can't really remember that well.. I guess it must have been when I switched from peaceful to easy and I forgot to light up parts of my cave, resulting in swarms of mobs. I think also in a mineshaft once, the cave spiders climbed up the wall and were basically on the roof, while I was on my way to destroy the spawner, they literally rained down on my friends and I. I'm not scared of spiders IRL, but the jumps from all of them and the overall swarm was just, damn

Things that scare me to death even these days, skeletons in a dark cave, getting randomly hit out of nowhere when not prepared is not fun.

posted a message on I just love Minecraft so much
I can never find myself two weeks without playing Minecraft, it's just so, I don't know, awesome. Great community, great game, just wow.

I'm really surprised at how much Minecraft has actually grown so much, I mean look at how many people play it. I haven't ever seen any ads telling people to play this game, it's just been through word of mouth and finding it randomly on the internet. I often see that I get bored of it for a week, then for the rest of the month, it's all I feel like playing. I have absolutely no idea why I constantly come back to this game, it's almost like I'm magnetically attached to it.

Playing this game with my own music, a few mods, trying out building styles, it's so entertaining and it has helped me cope through some bad times. I love Minecraft so much, it's so adaptable, so fun, so simple yet complicated. Even if I don't feel like playing the game, I still watch Youtubers like TheDiamondMinecart and PopularMMOs play it and I just get hyped to play the game.

I've told two of my friends about Minecraft and they seem to enjoy it as much as I do, whenever they get the chance to play it.

Let me just end this post here, I feel like I could go on typing for ages. Anyways, enjoy mining, crafting and building :D

NINJA EDIT: I forgot to check for threads similar to this before posting.. I really should go to sleep now.

    I half-support this idea.

It sounds nice and pleasing to the eyes, although it might make the tracks look hideous, having different redstone dust absolutely all over the floor and jumble up all the space

It depends on whether you hide it or not, you can have it underground or surrounded by walls to hide it.

On topic, this makes sense. It could really make rollercoasters better, now if only you could make a loop-de-loop with sticky rails of some sort..
With uphill, a low signal strength would still accelerate you instead of having you go backwards, right?

    Anyway, Support!

posted a message on Planting seeds?
What MazeCraft about it being too dark can be correct. If you're planting it underground be sure that every crop has a little bit of light near it, if it's above ground, light should not be a problem. I planted a little farm underground and the lack of light ended up being the problem for the seeds popping out.

It might make the zombies look a bit skewed/messed up if you add a pixel or remove a pixel so I'm not sure about this sounds like a good idead though. I agree with DarkHorde1395 - Partial Support. I would need screenshots and a better thought out plan before I give full support.

No, the zombies won't have extra or missing pixels. Look at a giant zombie or giant slime, they don't look messed up, since they use a resized model.

On topic with the thread, I think this is a good idea, having mob variation will only make the game so much more aesthetically pleasing.

    Support!

Also, sorry for double post, I'm not really so focused so I don't read all the messages that I feel the need to reply to at one time.

This already works for zombies, slimes, and magma cubes. They have a "Size" parameter.
The size parameter doesn't work for other mobs. There are problems with hit boxes. Hit boxes have a maximum size and once the mob is big enough you can't "hit" the hit box any more so the mob is invulnerable.

I would like to see the mob system rewritten so we had a generic "monster" and then applied traits to it. (huge effort but worth it).

    W/ regard to your suggestion,

    a) I'd like to see a color code (as with leather armor) for monsters which would allow you to have a million different colored zombies, skeletons, ghast, etc. Essentially shade the monster with the color value passed.

    B) I'd like to see the size parameter apply to all monsters (not just slimes and zombies) and for the size parameter to modify the movement rate and the hit box.

Zombies have size parameters? Maybe this explains the multiple zombie morphs with the morph mod.

The thing you said about hitboxes getting so big that the mob gets invulnerable, I'm not really agreeing with that. Giant zombies and giant slimes only seem to be invulnerable, but their hitboxes are somewhere near the center of them. Unless of course you're talking about modifying hitboxes, since giant zombies/slimes exist in the vanilla (unmodded) game through commands.
