    It works on mobs currently, you just have to shove em into it.

    Not sure why you would use it on Mobs. I usually just use mobs as Xenomorph breeding stock.

    New topic: Do you believe that it is possible to remove a Chestbuster without killing the host?


    Cases that we should exclude would be Ripley 8 and a comic where this black mold was infecting the Hive.


    Ripley 8 due to the fact that the Xenomorphs have more human DNA than the traditional Xenomorph and Ripley 8 is part Xenomorph with enhanced strength, which could have assisted her in surviving the procedure.


    That one comic whose name escapes me is due to multiple factors in the comic, including the Xenomorphs being incredibly weakened and the Chestbuster having died prior to the extraction.

    You think they should reboot the documentary series with the erroneous bits fixed? Would be just as exciting, but more accurate as well.


    Edit: Off topic, I have a weird occurrence right now. Got an enderman that aggroed on me one night, I used creative to jump in some water, and after returning to survival, he won't stop following me. I think he's my new friend, but I'm a bit unsure. Also, endermen now remind me of that crazy robot from Futurama. Stop lookin' at me! HIIIII YAAYAAYAYAYAAA!


    Unfortunately, it costs too much money to worry about it and it would be a much less "cool" documentary.

    I actually watched a short by Walking With Dinosaurs about another giant of the skies, Ornithocheirus. Perhaps it could have a shot at being another rideable ptero? Only time will tell if that happens, but if it does not, so be it...

    Ornithocherius is nowhere near large enough to be able to be ridable. It is barely larger than Pteranodon.

    That is a point of contention; we like the opposite sides of the series. I like the ever growing hives, with hordes of xenomorphs killing and dragging people to feed the legions, and you like the more small scale killings by an intelligent stalker who just wants everything dead. I like both sides really, but it bothers me they seem to be trying to retcon the hive aspect of Aliens.


    But, the show must go on.
    Do you think you're diving into your own head canon too much, regarding the Warriors and eggmorphing? Specifically the Warriors thinking the power cables are an animal, which isn't even hinted at. And why the hell would the Queens underlings ever want to overthrow her? That would stop their means of reproduction, and being genetically identical, they would gain nothing from doing that. And I it was confirmed by James Cameron and the crew that the Warriors are suppose to be matured drones, as they've been around for longer. And we don't know if new xenomorphs were being made constantly, only one survivor was found in the hive. She could have hid out like Newt. And we do see a "loner-type" alien (I think, that wording is not very specific) encounter a queen (sorta); the dog/cow drone from A3, who was purposefully protecting the soon to be born queen.


    Now dealing with eggmorphing and your head canon getting in the way a bit; we have technically never seen a canon eggmorphing. That scene in Alien couldn't be canon by the dialogue of Aliens, where Ripley doesn't know where the xenomorph eggs come from. And even if that was canon, I think the reason it wasn't a huge hive was because there was only a single drone attending it. And there was no indication it would have stopped building it. And maybe the drone left the eggmorph hive, like the queen in Aliens, because the hive would be destroyed and it would all be for nothing if the humans weren't killed. Alternately, they both fled to safety probably to establish new hives because their original was going to be destroyed anyway. Point; I see no major difference between how the hives are run, plus eggmorphing remains unseen even if it's canon, so we don't know for sure.




    I do want to point out that Eggmorphing is still considered canon even if you remove the scene from Alien. The Alien3 Novelization (Which I do believe is considered canon) more or less confirms that Xenomorphs are capable of both having a Queen egg laying and eggmorphing. I haven't read the book myself, mainly becasue I cannot find it in at my bookstore, but I assume is basically becasue the Runner Xenomorph started to eggmorph some of the prisoners while the Queen gestated inside of Ripley.


    Another thing I do want to point out, is that at this point in time, all the original Alien films are still canon. The Wayland Yutani Company report released more or less confirms, at the moment, that all the films are still canon even with Prometheus and, baring any changes to the report, Alien: Covenant.


    Its more likely that the Queen Xenomorph is an unexpected mutation of the creatures, maybe due to using a sterile but otherwise perfectly healthy reproductively active female human in their creation.


    How would this cause something to mutate unexpectedly? Hell if I know, I'm just throwing out ideas.

    You might have a point there. Granted, the Rachni are basically Mass Effect knock offs of Xenomorphs, and technically telepathy doesn't exist in Mass Effect.

    The specific word was "Something like a Quantum entanglement communicator" since the Rachni Queens on the Homeworld were able to communicate across the Galaxy with Warrior rachni.

    Anyway, I might take a look at that show. And the irony of that is very strong.


    As for Prometheus and Covenant, I really don't mind how things have been done with the series and the Morphs, but I do want an official explanation for the Juggernaut on LV 426 and, if David did truly create the Xenomorph species, how did the Xenomorph eggs and ship become fossilized in 20 years?


    Yes, I know that the only people who said it was Fossilized were especially Space truckers, but it doesn't require a master's degree to see if an item is Fossilized or not.


    I believe that David created the varient we see in Covenant by following the instructions he found in the database on the Juggernaut he was on with Shaw.


    But instead of using Engineer DNA, he used Human DNA, specifically Shaw's. His Morphs are more like the original intent of the Engineers for the Xenomorph, but either from the need to Mass produce Xenomorph eggs because of a massive galactic war or a mutation in the Xenomorph genome, the Queen was created.

    I swear that something I read said something like that, oh well. I guess I'll use the Mass Effect explanation for a Hivemind in the Rachni for my head canon. (Basically, each Xenomorph's brain is quantum entangled with the Queen's brain. Allows pretty much instant communication throughout the planet.)

    I thought as much. I found a Synthetic Xenomorph​ strange but interesting.

    It's because they're simply workers in the hive, their lives are meaningless. If it dies, a hundred more will take its place. And if the Queen wants something dead, then they'll jump in front of every gun they can until the job is done to make sure its done as soon as possible. I see nothing wrong with how the xenomorphs are depicted in Aliens.
    And if you're wondering why the drone from Alien was so careful, that was because it was the only one around and needed to insure its own survival to carry on its species' legacy.


    As for this xenomorphic in-fighting idea, I do like it and it does make sense on a biological level. Xenomorphs reproduce asexually, at least as far as we know, so the Queen and all her children are genetically identical. If another Queen is producing her own eggs, there's no reason why it should be allowed to continue to do so. Her children will be unrelated, and don't contribute to the first Queen's success, and just take resources away from the first Queen's children. To make sure her genes continue to survive, she should kill the other Queen.
    I'll admit, its never really been shown canonically, but I think that's what would happen. Like others said, ants do the same thing. It would insure the strongest xenomorphs always prevail, again dealing with the "perfect organism", always fine-tuning itself.




    That's the problem: no species with any inteligence like how it is shown to have in Alien and Aliens would purpously jump in front of a gun. And since Xenomorphs have some sort of telepathic abiliy, even as the ovamorph, the Xenomorph in Alien would have known that it wasn't the only one of its kind, because it would know of the eggs down on the planet the moment it burst from Kane's chest. Maybe while it was in Kane's chest as well.

    The problem with the infighting is that it doesn't fine-tune the species, it creates a massive weakness to the species. Any Xenomorph lost fighting another hive would be a xenomorph that cannot defend the hive from, say, a group of Marines infultraiting the hive and blowing up the Queen.


    I think that's basically what happened in one of he comics.


    @Cybercat I'm guessing that a Xenomorph synthetic like Norbert would be out of the question for adding into the mod?

    Hell, Xenos from two different hives could pincer a group of Marines.


    I view Xenomorphs more like an army than a hive. Many many grunts with a General making plans and tactics.


    With my Army comparison, would it make sense for two Generals on the same side to fight each other while fighting the enemy?

    I'm gonna try to downgrade one version below the latest 1.7.10 forge version later today. Ugh, I really hope this works. This is really frustrating for me.


    UPDATE: It's not the Forge version. Something is wrong with my F/A and I need to find out what can be done to fix it. I KNOW that plenty of others playing 1.7.10 F/A's latest version have it working fine for them, so there must be a way to fix this.

    You completely misunderstand my problem. I have a CRASHING BUG that I need fixed, I'm not talking about doing anything with future updates.

    And if that bug does have anything to do with F/A, the fix would be in the 1.10.2 version since, as I mentioned before, the current version of the mod is the last 1.7.10 version that is ever going to be made.

    1.7.10 isn't ancient. 1.2 is ancient, 1.7.10 is just old. I don't have to move on at all.

    If you want to use this mod in any point in the future, which involve many more kinds of dinosaur and time travel, you do. The current mod version is the last 1.7.10 version there is going to be, and if you want to spend four plus months working to make future versions compatible with 1.7.10, be my guest.

    For now, soon it'll update to 1.10.2, then 1.7.10 will no longer be supported.

    I know, I was just asking because the Mdxlib says that it's updated to 1.10.2, and the latest AvP build was updated around the same time as the Mdxlib was.

    Just didn't want to try to update my worlds to 1.10.2 and crash.
