What version of MC Java do you guys play on? I usually play on 1.7.2, 1.7.10, 1.8.9 and 1.10 because it has better performance. But sometimes I play on 1.2.5, 1.3.1, 1.4.7, 1.5.2 and 1.6.4 because I like the older versions
How old are you?
I'm 13 years old
What about Minecraft do you find appealing
That you can build, mine, fight other mobs, download mods, texture packs, etc. It just seems fun to me.
How has Minecraft influenced your life? What does it mean to you? Events, video series, servers, internet personalities, etc. that are associated with Minecraft also count here.
Minecraft has influenced me to make videos of gameplay, mod showcases (w/o voiceover), and performance videos.
When and how did you first discover/encounter Minecraft?
When I was at my cousin's house, I saw him play the TU1 Minecraft Xbox 360 demo back in early or mid 2013. And I had a demo as well on my Xbox 360. So in May 2013, I was playing the Minecraft demo. I was just jumping around, punching cows, and just digging a tunnel to a mine. I really didn't know how to play the game at age 5. But when I was at my dad's house in June 2014, I saw that we had texture packs on it. For a second I thought texture packs were mods (please don't hate me. I didn't know how to play the game) So I had a lot of fun building houses. I built bad houses though. And I saw DanTDM, PopularMMOs and Logdotzip doing mod showcases, And I loved those videos and couldn't stop watching them. That was what I did most of my free time.
But in early 2014, My stepparents had MCPE (Now known as Minecraft Bedrock Edition) on the tablet. So I was playing on it, Exploding some TNT, spawning mobs, etc. On October 2015, I had good grades in 2nd grade, so my mom bought me Minecraft Xbox 360 edition. The disc broke though. But I got another one on Christmas 2016. At first I was getting bored. But I got my brother's Xbox 360 on Jan 2017. And The latest version was TU48. And there where Prismarine, Coarse Dirt, End Stone Bricks, etc. I thought all of those items were added in that one update. But I got introduced to Title Updates. For some reason, I used to write them on a piece of paper and just leave it there. Also I got introduced to Command Blocks. And I couldn't get them on Xbox 360. Even If i did, they wouldn't function whatsoever. But on MCPE back in mid 2017, They were functional. On December 21st, 2019, I got my brother's phone and played MCPE on that. On the latest version I got 30-45 fps. But older versions, 60fps.
My refresh rate on my Acer Chromebook is at 60hz. Which is crazy since if i use Pojavlauncher, I get 100+ fps. But using shaders, ex. SEUS shaders, It just shows a black screen with single digit framerates. But using Open4es shaders for Pojavlauncher, I get 45 to 68 fps
Yeah for me it drops to 20-37 fps on the minecraft launcher. But on the GDLauncher, I get 45-60 fps with the render distance set to 8 on fast settings on 1.7.10. But on Pojavlauncher, on the fastest settings, the render distance set to 8, and fog set to fast and 0.2 on a superflat, I get 76-130 fps. Which is more smooth and fluid thanks to the settings
How much FPS do you get in Minecraft? On my Acer Chromebook 315 with the settings below on Pojavlauncher, I get an unpredictably playable 300-400fps without Optifine on 1.7.10. Which was surprising since I didn't think it would be that high since I have UHD Graphics. Using Optifine made FPS skyrocket to around 700 to 1100fps. Looking up at the sky and turning down the resolution and zooming in and pressing F1 made the FPS go up to insanely high levels
Smooth Lighting: Off
Render Distance: 2
GUI Scale: Normal
View Bobbing: Off
And I also hit 1000+ fps
