    Oh hey. I just got an idea for a mob. It's pretty rough though, so don't expect anything super great.


    Basically, I imagined some kind of floating gas cloud in the shape of a cloaked figure. It would appear dark locations, and would actively avoid light. The monster would use 4 tentacle-like smoke appendages and grab onto the player's hitbox. The player would have to attack these appendages in around 5 seconds before at least 3 of them manage to latch on properly, after which the player would be dragged into the darkness. (The player can actively resist this.)


    The monster would only take 20 or 30 percent of damage while in darkness, and while in darkness would appear much more solid. As for how it's actually defeated... I couldn't think of anything good. I just had "Creepy gas tentacle monster that dislikes light" and spewed that out here. Knowing you though, you'll think of something good. ;)

    The Foliath only spawns in jungle type biomes. Have you checked there?

    I don't think so. I believe Noppes once said he didn't feel like adding that and just said to scale down a 4-pixel arm model. I am by no means an authority though.

    You would need to give it to them client side, or you need to upload the skin somewhere online and use the skin URL thing, I think.


    Hey noppes, what if I wanted players to use the commands that are started with "/noppes"? What kind of permission should I give to them? I'm in a really embarrassing situation which is like I want to bind some summon cast on a weapon but I can't because of lack of permission! Plz! I really need an answer!

    Perhaps, an interesting concept would be to make a small group of factions, and have players have to choose from those factions. Then the players in the faction would have to claim land for their faction.


    My recommendation would be to have 3 to 6 separate factions, and have different benefits based on which faction the player has chosen.

    I am inclined to agree that 1.7.10 is one of the best updates, at least in regards to modding. However, I am also inclined to agree that 1.12.2 is likely to become the next 1.7.

    Can confirm that it isn't a resource pack. If you look at the second screenshot, which has an internal view of the "house", you can see shadows on top of the Crafting Table and Furnaces. Blocks don't have shadows like that. Therefore, the roof is made of an entity. Shadows cannot be seen in other places inside because the floor is ALSO made up of entities, so the shadows go through them as well.

    As far as I'm aware, no. You cannot put multiple things into one soul gem. You'll have to just use multiple gems. :(


    As a convenient side note, I think you can also use soul gems in dispensers just like spawn eggs. So if you're making a map or something an needed an NPC based trap, that feature has you covered.

    There actually is an equivalent of the spawn eggs in the mod. The item is called a "soul gem", and if you right-click on any mob it gets absorbed into the stone. In survival mode, if you right-click the filled stone on the ground, the entity gets released, and the stone is destroyed. But in creative, you can just spam it all you want.

    Hi there!


    Liking the mod so far, I just have a few questions.


    1 : Will configurable 914 recipes be a thing eventually? Unless i've missed something, you can't add your own recipes.

    2 : Will SCP-106 get sounds eventually? He's currently entirely silent.

    3 : Do you have a discord channel for your mod? I saw a link to something discord related in another MC forums post, but it just opened the discord web page.

    So i'm looking for a mod that allows some kind of world to world item storage system. So that I can make an item in one world, and send it to another.

    I am aware of the vanilla toolbar system, I just find that rather... Limited.

    GalactiCraft and The SpaceAge mod are similar in ideas, but they both took different directions.


    Galacticraft takes a very "tech-mod" based approach to space travel. You must assemble your rocket out of parts that you build. However, once you've done that, the rocket is identical to any rocket built by any other player. (Of the same level.)


    The Space Age mod on the other hand, allows you to literally build your space ship from scratch. You get to design it yourself and build it in game.


    In the end, your choice in mod is more based around personal preference.

    Would you like a more hardcore experience? For for Galacticraft.

    Would you like a more vanilla-like softcore experience? Choose The Space Age mod.

    I don't doubt that at some point the other mobs will be added, however, I don't see it happening in the near future, and it surely won't be all at once. To be honest, the only really polished ideas out of the 4 were the phantom and the blaze boss.

    posted a message on 1.12 forge with mods, crashing problem.

    There appears to be something wrong with Natura.


    My suggestions are;

    Reinstalling Natura (re-download it and try again)

    Remove Natura and attempt to load without it. Should it load, you're good to go, if it does not, you've got some other issue.
