    okay this is just getting irritating as all hell. Every time I log out and back into our server now I get to sit there with 5 mins of black screen before the game catches up. I can interact with chests and interfaces blocks now with slight lag (which isn't new) but I lag like hell if I try to kill anything and then end up half dead by the time I catch up to the server...or the server catches up to me.
    I really need a solution to this problem that preferably doesn't involve me having to delete my character info and losing all my research and knowledge.

    so we tried the update for our server and I ended up in a a 2x2 down in the ground underneath where my bf was (when i logged out before the update I was in our house). I was able to break the blocks to get to the surface and walk around but I couldn't do anything else.

    any ideas why this would happen

    update:
    okay so we reverted to 4.0 and i ended up in the ground beneath the house but now when i break anything it doesn't give me a block back and I cant activate our pressure plates. I can interact with the chests and stuff just fine though. It seems that I'm having massive lag or something. does anyone know how i might be able to go about fixing this?

    okay so...every single time i log out and back into the server i end up right back in the ground under the house. can break the blocks around me but get nothing from them.

    and my singler player world works just fine

    so my research is finally yielding some useful things and I can now say from experience that you should go after research expertise and research mastery right away. Expertise lets you move runes 1 more space then before and mastery lets you move activated runes 1 square at a time. Moving it can deactivate it though but it saves you the essence you might have used to deactivate it anyway.

    also the advanced node tapping and node preserver are pretty nice too.

    o yeah...can anyone tell me what essence to use to get the goggles recipe..can't get it for the life of me :(

    I've run into a minor issue - which wand do i need to make first in order to make the silverwood wand? the iron capped greatwood wand does not hold enough vis even when full (50) to make the silverwood wand.

    yes it does, we have it installed and haven't had an issue with it yet.

    also, does anyone know if multiple crystal clusters (i.e. 2 air crystal clusters side by side) recharge the essence faster then just one cluster?

    After playing since release the only problem I really have with this mod so far is the fact that essence gets used 100% of the time in research, doesn't matter if it is part of the research or not you still have to waste 1 to find out whether or not it is even needed. It is making me waste essences needlessly and it is super irritating because I absolutely hate wasting stuff that I don't need to.

    would be nice if it was changed so that it only has a small chance to use up the non-required essences when testing instead of 100%

    yeah we've got an obsidian pillar right on the outskirts of our village that turns normal zombies into giant zombies that hit like an effing truck - nearly killed me before I realized wtf was going on :I

    we're running biomes o plenty, twilight forest and thaumcraft 4 and we got a village right next to the spawn point, we've got a tainted biome not far off, and we've got a magic forest not far off from the taint. world gen is set to biomes o plenty generation.
    seed is 2697971306230699290

    bf has gone into config and disabled the following biomes though:
    artic
    glacier
    marsh
    pasture
    polar
    scrubland
    shrubland (yes it is apparently slight diff from scrubland)
    steepe
    thicket
    tundra

    your map may not end up like the map we got but that's what we did to get it so good luck it you try doing it our way :)

    I don't play consoles but if i did I would be going for the ps4 simply so I wouldn't have to deal with all the retarded restrictions that xbox one will have. It makes me sad that Mojang is pretty much being forced to put their game on such a terribly developed console and lose money because microsoft is committing financial suicide by trying to control every single aspect of the way their games will be played.

    I hope their contract expires soon and they're smart enough not to renew it.

    ok..for anyone who is experiencing the vanishing aura and nodes I figured out how to fix it (at least im pretty sure i did)

    open minecraft config folder
    open the thaumcraft file (its a CFG file - it'll open in notepad)
    way at the bottom under world_regeneration you need to change aura_nodes to true and change the regen_key word from default to something else - any word should do (as stated by the op)

    I did this and my nodes as far as I can tell have respawned and my goggles now show me the aura in the air like they should. I haven't yet tested out my furnace or my wand cause I'm too sleepy atm and am about to go to bed.

    i may just be too sleepy to be able to properly read the OP post about this issue but I hope this makes it more clear as to what to do for those who, for whatever reason, don't understand what the OP is talking about.

    I'm suddenly having the same issue and I didn't even log out...my aura nodes just vanished while i was playing and not even making anything. I only noticed it when my infernal furnace destroyed my ores instead of smelting them (I've destroyed it completely twice and rebuilt it to no avail) and then my wand didnt recharge. My goggles will show me whats in my jars and my filters but not the aura in the air until I run off to a silverwood tree - its like every node between my house and that one tree have all vanished. Soon as I log out/back in though the goggles won't show my my aura anymore.
    I've tried doing what it says to do in the OP but its not working. Can someone please explain clearly how to do it in case I'm just dumb and cant figure it out properly...
