    This ok?

    -------------
Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing for the release.
I think I'll do some edits tonight and have a release out tomorrow with the villagers/villager zombies.

Oh goodness... that's beautiful! :D Oh, and in regards to the females; perhaps make their eyes larger height-wise? Ladies are known for having big, beautiful eyes, and I'm sure you can pull something off. ^_^

Looks great, really love the cartoon look!

Wow, those are awesome, very funny!
    Quote from Plenty_of_Fish

    Those. Look. AWESOME!

    Thanks guys!

As far as the females go, the larger eyes are a must!
My only problems with them so far are 1) covering the forehead 2) coming up with clothing

I'm thinking of doing some sort of Beehive hair with a tiara with their profession on it.
As for clothes, maybe one dress that I switch up details on?
(Plus a nun. Nun is needed.)

I'm also thinking it might be cool to toss in little cartoonified Cheech & Chong for farmers!

I went on the site where you are supposed to go to get resourses to make an hd skin and it was a usless website!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe if you add a few more exclamation points...

Due to a major spam attack, I was forced to shut down the forums. The contents of the first link (the templates) are still available here: http://hdminecraftsk...load.php?view.7

The second link however, was locked away in the spam filled forums. I've done a bit of digging and cleanup, and it is once again available at http://hdminecraftsk...wtopic.php?58.0
Ooh! Thanks a million, Khan! I had forgotten to save the "How To" to file, but I'll be adding it to this thread soon as well! (I'll also upload the templates to my Mediafire to try and down a little on your hosting)

    ----------------------------------

Along those lines, I've also got a bunch of new HD skins to be released soon! Updated Deadpool & Taskmaster, Skeletor, zombies, and more!
I'll be releasing them all (as well as updating this thread) in about a week, when Khan's new site is up and working!

In the meantime, I've finally got enough pieces to add to my LONG-TIME-WIP "Make Your Own HD Skins PSD"! So expect that to be released soon after!

    ----------------

OH! And before I forget again, I've noticed a lot of users posting questions on the PlanetMinecraft page for these skins...

I can't answer anything on PMC.
I was banned for 10 years for blocking one of their moderators on Skype a few days before Christmas.
(The same day my friend died. Good folks, those PMC moderators...)

Anywho, new skins and stuff in about a week! Woot!

BAM! Took forever, but I finally got the initial villagers done! (Complete with a Wilford Brimley & Daniel Day Lewis!)
I'll be adding females whenever I can figure out something ladylike to cover the massive foreheads.

Plus, I've now got enough spare parts for all sorts of HD skins!
Link, Mario & Luigi, the Joker, Dwarves... Zombie Stalin?

So as it turns out Daniel Day Lewis and Wilford Brimley live in Minecraftia...

As well as some Stalin-esque undead.

Wow that villager looks great! Cant wait to see what other you'll come up with.

As for PSDs, could you please put in the following:

    > Powder bag (E.g. gunpowder, redstone etc)
    > Seed Packet
    > Leaves block
    > Carrot/Potato Crop
    > If you have a larger bonesaw than the one on the crafting table can you also put that in (I want to see how it looks as the handsaw)

Also if you have some spare time could you make a version of my project table that looks like the crafting grid in the crafting GUI?

    Added the PSDs.

What exactly are you asking or with the Project Table?
A version of the Crafting GUI with the PT in the background?

Finally getting around to the villagers!

I decided to toss out the old Cthulhu "fishmen" Villagers idea for the time being and go with something a little more Legend of Zelda-y.
I'm thinking of basically giving everyone Link-like hats and tunics, with various randomized bits on them.
For the faces, I'm using my new standard vDC facial template, but with randomized noses, eyebrows, facial hair, and expressions. I think i'll be able to squeeze out a few dozens variants by just making a few of each part (before even getting to the females)

One they're set, I'd also love to use the pieces to make a Link HD skin! I'm also thinking of maybe changing my leather Armor (currently Luchador attire) to the Link-ish clothes.

Anywho, what do you guys think?
I haven't checked around to see what other folks have done with their villagers since they were first added to the game.

PS, I tested the sketches as a skin ingame, the hats work superbly at hiding the massive villager foreheads!

The new Armors looks really great. Especially the Chain Armor Helmet with the trap joe jaw... and the new font is much better.

I like the concepts for the villagers and the idea with the cthulhu worshipers for the priest. Maybe you could use the fish-villager-concept for the witch. Then there is a contrast to the rest of the villagers and she lives in Swampland, so I think it could fit.

    Ooo, good thinking!
I'm still not 100% sure what I'd like to do with the Fishy folks, but right now this is probably the best bet.
To start with, I'll probably do a more defaultish Witch; But being the lamest mob ever, i feel i have to do something special with them sooner or later.
I know at some point I ant to do a"bog hag" skin for them; All gnarled and naked with seaweed covering her witchy-bits.
    Quote from Deepblue686

Actually leave the emerald stuff the way it is.
Don't make them look like Cthulu worshippers.

Basically they are in secret and it's the reason they're making the excuse that the coins are a bit like money when in reality they're trying to acquire as many as possible for something....yes....something.
They'll even trade all their belongings if it means getting their hands on them.

Y'know what, I've got a habit in Glimmar's thread of making up reasons for designs he could use for things like mobs and it's kinda bleeding over into here.

I like the chain and iron armours.
The villagers are neat. One step closer to completing the texture pack.
Ha! I actually really like that!

Unfortunately, I'm just not that happy with the Emerald stuff (the main Redstone blocks as well).
I know I want to do something akin to the classic Legend of Zelda "Rupee" for the emerald item; probably with something similar for the Ore. (the Cthulhu Emerald block is fine. Just needs to look more like actual emerald)

Right now I'm also thinking of doing the same thing with Redstone. Instead of being magical red skull tech, it would be red crystals (basically recolored emerald Rupees) with animated electricity running through them.

Either way, that stuff's for a later update. Still have too many random textures to finish before i move to fixing those up.

ok guys 32x and 64x ports are up... will do some alts to upload tomorrow (probably only 256x/128x)

lovin the new armours doom and the font is better, i like the clock too (i can bumpmap it and the compass should have update to shaders tomorrow, i have much better shader files now.
    Yay!
Awesome works, as always! Thanks, Zomb!
(OH! AND FYI, I recently got a few requests for forum avatars like Mine/DesolationAngel's. if you want one too, just pick a armor/HD skin, a pose, and let me know, man!)
    Quote from Matt-J-222

Ive just started making texture support for RedPower so stand by for some previews!
    Sweet!
I've never checked out the mod, myself; but it's one of the ones that people always request support for. So i'm sure a lot of people will be very thankful!
As always, if you need any specific PSDs to work with, just let know!
    Quote from Ph1il93

The new stuff looks awesome as always, especially the leather, you made it look as bloody and rough as it should look like!
    --------------------------------------------------------------
Now on to the balkon's addon i was working on, it took me so long to put together because i was not motivated and on the other hand i dont enjoy working on items as much as i like to do blocks and gui's. But, here it is, it includes daggers, hellebards, flails, warhammer, battleaxes and spears and is compatible with the latest version [1.10].

I used textures from the battlegear mod so credits go to zomb69 and of course Emperor Doom.

    Download: http://www.mediafire.../?c8z341fd53qw3

Some additional good news, i started working on Thaumcraft blocks.

Also if someone is interested, here are some screenshots of my singleplayer world, sry for bad quality and fog :P , the whole base only uses one water source (thanks to Better than wolves!)

Aaaaand those would be the other two highly requested ones lol.
    Seriously, awesome job!

As far as me linking it in theOP goes, is there a general Mediafire folder I can link to, so it doesn't need constant updating? If not, should I link it to your specific post above so you can keep that one updated? (Like I do with Zomb's shaders)

    HOLY CRA----

    SKYRIM ARMOR WOOT

oh ya i get my imac next week, will finally get to try out the past 5 updates to this pack

    ps. ANIMALS

Nice! After you're all set, feel free to pop back in ad let me know what you think of the updates! I think the last few have really added new life to the textures.

Also, Animals are relatively close now! Villagers are turning out to be quite a bit of work, and thre are still some othr textures i want to redo before moving on to the critters; but I am working on trying to doodle out some good details for them all!

    ----------------

So, has anyone else tried out the MCPatcher preview for the 1.5 stuff?
I tried a couple days ago, and even without any animations or CTM, I could only get about 20FPS max!
(Tried it with vDC, Soartex, and Misa's 128x. All ty results.)

I'm not sure if it's just that MCPatcher was still tweaking things, or if the new texture format is really THAT goddamned awful for performance, but it's quite worrying.

    More random Villager bits!

Before I can really do anything with them I still have to figure out exactly how the arms' mapping works, then make my own arm template that I can cut up afterwards and place properly on the texture.
And to correct myself, it looks like males will be released first. More work will go into the female than I originally anticipated. (mostly the hair, and covering up the massive forehead with something other than the hat)

Also, once they're finally set, I'm about 99% sure there'll be enough parts to make a pretty cool Link HD skin.
