Yeah, Whiskers and Sinn, I won't update :smile.gif: I updated on the slow comp but I didn't update on the one that was being fixed (cause I couldn't anyway) so I should be able to get in, correct?
i wanted the device man. but it doesn't look like you have a video card and minecraft might never run. you want to find out the name of your display adapter and find the appropriate driver.
It says it's running on a generic video driver. :ohmy.gif:And I'm searching for anything that says adapter but it's not in the system info, for some reason...rather, I'm probably not looking for it correctly :L
before i can help i want to see your system information. click start and find system information. i want to know what it says under display, under components.
System:
Microsoft Windows XP
Professional
Version 2002
Service Pack 3
Computer:
Intel(R)
Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz
2.79 GHz, 512 MB of RAM
need the 'registered to'? I feel like that's unneeded, though xD
Alright...so I want to be able to play Minecraft on my laptop but I keep getting this error.
Bad video card drivers!
-----------------------
Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.

I figured I'd update my driver, but I'm not sure what all I need to know or if I'm doing this all wrong :S
anyways, my laptop is a Dell Inspiron 5100. I've gone to the Dell website and have been looking at driver updates (if that's the issue) and if it is the issue, can anyone help recommend one that will allow me to play minecraft?
and if I'm going about this all the wrong way, please help me out xD This is over my head, for the most part :tongue.gif:
Woo! Got to pop in yesterday :biggrin.gif: Already drew up some house plans xD I love the place!! So nice to see some 'Elmies', if you will, running around. xD But I can't play often, sadly :< unless someone knows how to get the OpenGL working for a Dell Inspiron 5100 or a AMD Duron(? maybe...)
Ah, I really couldn't have asked for a better First-Minecraft-Server to be in :smile.gif:
And to have someone keeping it up for us, Elme, you trooper xD
Hopefully we'll see each other together, soon. Thanks for being my first

Would that be in the DirectX Diagnostic? I've gotten to a display thing and it has device and drivers info
