Easier solution if you are using the alpha client v12.2, sorry for diggin this post up, but theres a nice backup manager that you can save the world data (not the text pack) to your fancy flash drive and go to school, bored in class and open minecraft and backup one of the worlds with your home world. no code changning, no batch files, nuttin to it.
