I presonally really sidlike the colored wood. It just looks wierd. Maybe something like that construction foam from whatever mod, that would look nice. Or, you know, tinted glass :P I know there is some kind of bug there, but there are mods that add colored glass too, if they could figure out a way to get rid of that then mojang can too.

The bug there is still in the mods; the modders just hand-wave it away and say "Meh, it's minecraft, what can you do."

The bug is that if you look through stained glass, you can't see water, ice, portals, and a few other blocks. I'm going to go ahead and call these types of blocks "translucent blocks" because that's what they are. Blocks with alpha channel between 0 and 1.
In fact, all translucent blocks have this bug: you can't see any translucent block behind another.
    Particles render behind translucent blocks.
You can see all the bugs using existing translucent blocks; the easiest to get hold of is ice.

So basically, I'm just going to post this video because everyone's been begging Vechs not to see this.

I suppose here would be a good way to get people to come up with a good way for Vechs not to see this, since you guys know Vechs well?

What it does is place whenever you get close enough. And amusingly enough, when you are close enough, the top of the volcano explodes, so you can't get in.

You guys should subscribe to HiFolksImAdam (the creator of the above video): he often makes videos on devices that could be used to great effect in a CTM map.

Also (though this is more of a personal opinion), make sea level 128 and not 64. I've never seen anyone take advantage of the full 192 blocks between sky and grass. 128 is more than enough. Use the extra blocks below ground to make bigger, more impressive and more unique caves.

Orrrr, implement Cubic Chunks as they were originally suggested (and made), instead of the Anvil system and have INFINITE HEIGHT,

Because Cubic Chunks are awesome and why did Jeb turn it into ANVIL GRR.

Combination biomes would be interesting, if at all possible, so

I apologize if this has already been asked previously, but you must understand that I don't have the time to wade through 450 pages of posts on this topic. I'm running the current version of Forge on Minecraft 1.4.7, and while the mod works great, I notice that when crouching (or "sneaking"), I cannot see the aspects contained within a material or entity. Normally, this would not bother me, but it also doesn't show what is contained inside a crucible (and by extrapolation, an alembic or jar or similar device). This, naturally, is quite an inconvenience. Is this a common issue, and if so, is there a fix for it? It shows me aspects of things contained inside my inventory or a chest with the sneak key, but nothing shows within the world. I've tried while holding a Thaumanomicon and a wand, but nothing works.

    Thank you for your time.

Sneaking to show aspects only works in your inventory.

To show aspects in crucibles and jars (and such devices), you need special goggles.
To show aspects in blocks in the world, you need a special.. pick, I think.
To show aspects in entities in the world... I don't think entities actually have aspects.

I feel I'm missing something here

Edit: Yay I got images to work :)

An adventurer from earlier activated it when trying to get food.

You won't find him again; it was a very lethal trap.

A spawner that has 3 possible spawns:

    1) feesh block
    2) feesh
    3) a copy of the spawner itself

So it slowly spreads a feesh stone / feesh spawner nest across the map, like a Minecraft version of Terraria corruption.

Unless I'm missing something, isn't (3) impossible because you would have to have an infinite* number of nbt tags?

*Yes, I realize that you could just use a large number, but that just doesn't feel the same. I'm a mathematician, sue me. If this is your answer, I'm not going to argue, I just hope that dinnerbone added some way to make the recursion indefinite.

    <dark torches discussion>

    Not actually possible.

    How light works: (in pseudo-Java)
    this.blocklightlevel = max(neighbor.blocklightlevel) - 1;

Light can only be controlled from the light source emitter, not from an absorber. It's like pushing up a trampoline; how far you push it up is the light level emitter amount. There isn't any way in the current light system to have a similar thing for an absorber.

I got an idea for an area.

It's an urban area with signs all around labeling it as a "Weapon Free Zone". The player is not allowed to bring any weapons into it. If the player gets attacked, they have to go find a button that will summon an Iron Golem (will take 3 to 5 minutes to spawn), and during that time they have to just wait while monsters kill them.

Does that sound like fun? :D

This feels like a reference to something, but I'm not sure what.

Vechs knows that you can have arrow item spawners which can be picked up with hoppers and can have their rate of spawning be as fast or as slow as you want, right?

Because that seems so much easier than attaching a skeleton grinder to a dakka machine and having it occasionally shoot out bones.

One does not simply... find wood in BD2.
Yet as I type, I've decided to give you a clue.
One must earn it. Earn through lots of pain.
You may find it near where the harder of wools are lain.
May I suggest something a little easier for a first goal?
A fire-stick may serve what you think you need wood for.
Or maybe gunpowder, or whence it drops
But dig a bit first, or your sanity may be lost.
The rhyme was at first unintentional, but as I typed, I thought
that letting the clues rhyme was easier than letting it not.

EDIT: Curse my OCD. Good thing I can't find
how the second half of the poem can be made to rhyme.
EDITx2: Seriously, does it really matter whether the second line
starts with "and" or "yet"? I think that this is going crazy, OCD of mine.

This, but if you believe that you need a clue more,
the line containing "fire-stick" has meanings just less than four.

EDIT: If by "can't" you had meant "couldn't", then take this to heart:
Properly using the past is necessary to keep rebukes and praise apart.
Editx2: I completely changed the clue above, for "pun"', with quite a lot
may be an off-by one error, which programmers will ne'er have forgot.
    The above stanza, when misspelled, leads to a horrendous pun;
And tin the below stanza, I shall contain my clue, version one.
If you remain to be lost, a second clue of one:
The line that contains "fire-stick" may be a triple pun.,
