Disregard previous message. After playtesting the same issue presented itself after about 20minutes of playtime. Still does not crash, no exceptions in the log that would point me to any one source.

Only notable/unusual events from the logfile are spread out. Listed below.

Issue appears to have been Foamfix after testing for a while, but I've been tricked before by the issue taking longer to pop up. Will continue testing and if the issue is something else will post back results for any future potential google searches.

    -Removed Foamfix

    Foamfix was not the issue.

Finally foundd the exact issue in a closed issue log for Ice and Fire. Its fixed in the latest version 1.2.0, but 1.2.0 conflicts with BoP. Should be fixed next bugfix patch apparently. source: https://github.com/Alex-the-666/Ice_and_Fire/issues/287

Having a really weird issue and haven't been able to narrow it down. Maybe Im just missing a mod incompatibility or something, but I don't think so. Anywhere from a few seconds after starting up, to 5 minutes all server activity ceases, SMP mode. Still able to move around the chunks that were currently loaded and place/destroy blocks, but there are no block drops. Unable to issue any chat commands or send any messages in chat. After some time the connected clients get timed out. Short of force crashing the game it will NOT crash. Log file will continue progressing, but shows no sign of issue other than the one message listed below.

Sometimes I am still able to hear the footsteps of the other person moving around close to me right up until they get timed out. No crash log is generated. Information attached below.

Logfile is wholly unhelpful. The only entry that indicates any sort of issue is:

[Server thread/WARN]: Can't keep up! Did the system time change, or is the server overloaded? Running 3071ms behind, skipping 61 tick(s)

    Info

    Win7 64bit

Nvidia driver is at 376.33 because more recent versions cause various issues with other programs I need/games that I play.

Java is up to date, that was the first thing I checked.

Have tried disabling the following mods so far

    -Astral Sorcery

    -Dynamic Surroundings

    -Sound Physics

    -Journey Map

    Sum of issues

-Server stops updating (No new chunks, mobs do not move/take damage)

-Able to place and destroy blocks and they will remain, but no block drops when destroyed. Destroying a block under snow, the snow will continue to float there.

    -Will not crash

-Sometimes sounds from other players will continue being heard by me(footsteps) right up until they get timed out.

-The time continues to progress through the day and night cycle.

-Can type in the chatbox, but no messages or commands are sent or received.

-On 'save and quit' the entire client will freeze up and crash, but this does not generate an error log.

Awesome, I just moved down from that area. We're west coast as well. I haven't heard of Torch Arrows and Light Sensor, what are they?

Torch arrows lets you fire arrows with torches attached, basically. Put a torch, redstone torch, or glowstone dust to the right of your bow and fire it. It'll fire a lit arrow and where it lands will spawn a torch or redstone torch. Glowstone torches just act like a flare.

Lightsensor lets you use a glass block and lever to make a block the detects light to automatically turn off/on redstone.

I whitelisted you both if you want to check it out. No restrictions, just try not to blow up the entire world. :tongue.gif: lol

My girlfriend and I (20 and 22) just started up a small server. Lockette, Torch Arrows, and Light Sensor are about the only mods we have so far. It's whitelisted and we plan to keep it at least relatively small. if you want to give it a try let me know and I'll hop on to whitelist you and give you the IP.

Also, it's hosted in Seattle, WA.

Sorry to be a bother, just wondering if anyone has had any experience with Vortex lately? Been waiting for about 5 hours now for my server to be reactivated and the ticket is still in open status.

Does Vortex still have livechat and/or 24/7 support? I was hoping to reactivate my server as I actually get some time off and I've been waiting around an hour after I made the payment and sent in a ticket with no response.
    Thanks!

Just got a Callisto server. Great quality, good price and the least lag I've had on any host. I am having one issue though were occasionally it will boot me from the server and I am forced to restart it, losing between a few minutes or hours of work. The first time I started I lost all my work and was put back on the original spawn as if I had never done anything. Of course, this could be a 1.8 bug, I'm not sure. If anyone knows of a fix it'd be greatly appreciated!

    Keep it up. :smile.gif:

Doh, looks like someone epically failed when the set the message there. The live chat system is new, we used to use IRC but it doesn't deal with with lots of questions at the same time, so we switched to this new system which is integrated with our ticket system.

Just use any old number there Elemori e.g. 1234 if you want to talk with someone and don't already have a server.

I'll get the web guys to fix that on Monday, thanks for letting us know :smile.gif:

Understood, thanks, and glad I could be of help. Will definitely help you keep potential new customers happy.

Hmm does the live chat give you an error there Elemori?

Anyway to answer your real question we have over 1000 plugins pre installed already and more added every day, which you can click and install in seconds. If what you want isn't already installed you can link or upload a mod and we'll look to get it installed for you.

Alternatively you can use FTP, which was rolled out across Europe this week, and will be completed in the US next week to totally customise your install.

So in brief yes yo can modify to your hearts content :smile.gif:

No error, requires a number from the clanforge page to be put in before it will let you continue to be connected to a person.

Been looking for a server since the host I was using is no longer in existence. Been doing some research on who to rent a server from, but because of Brohoster Shenanigans I'm a bit cautious.

    1) West-coast preferred, though central would be acceptable.
    2) Possibility to use ItemCraft with Bukkit so that we can use mods that add blocks and/or mobs to the server. Not a must, but would make the GF happy. If the host could even help me setup the Itemcraft and get a couple of the mods for it going that would be a big plus.
    3) Would prefer 1GB for room to allow on a good amount of people in the future, but not looking to start out spending 25ish $ a every month. Yet. But for a good host my opinion on that matter can change.

Hate to start a new topic all my own, just having trouble deciding and looking for some user input, or maybe even some ideas of hosts that might not be on the first few pages of the forums here.

    Thanks!

Since my server host is up and gone, I've been looking around for another place to host a small server. I was looking at Multiplay and had a few questions - Unfortunately I can't access the live chat on the website. Is there anyway to, before renting a server, to preview how the account works and see just how extensive one can mod? For example, would we be able to use mods that modify the Minecraft.jar or bukkit jar?

    Thanks.
