Nov 26, 2013That didn't seem to work, but Java is installed under the (x86) folder, so it now says this:Posted in: Server Support and Administration
C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe" -server -d64 -Xms1024M -Xmx4096M -jar minecraft_server.jar
Okay, so I realized I didn't have the .jar server, which was a problem.
I fixed the path name, it recognizes the server now, but it says:
This Java instance doesn't support a 64-bit JVM. Please install the desired version.
According to Java, I have the fully updated version and I tried changing the 64 to 32 with no success.
Nov 26, 2013I made a .bat file that has this line:Posted in: Server Support and Administration
javaw -Xms1024m -Xmx1024m -jar "minecraft_server.1.7.2"
Try opening it, just closes immediately. Tried diffent levels of ram as well as my computer claims I only have 1000 free (4000 available and 8GB ram total...makes no sense)
Nov 26, 2013Well, according to the Minecraft options, you can force the texture pack, but I'm not sure how this works as MCPatcher seemed to just port the texture pack to my client instead of the server configuration itself.Posted in: Server Support and Administration
Nov 26, 2013Hello, I downloaded this texture pack, but do you know how to force it on the server so people see what I see?Posted in: Server Support and Administration
EDIT: Also, random question, but does anyone know why the server "log and chat" is blank? I can't type into it or anything.
Dec 5, 2012Hello everyone.Posted in: MCX360: Quick Sessions / Minigames
I am planning on building a PvP specific map (kind of like battlegrounds, castles, sieges, etc) with my friend.
Well, since it's just the two of us (and a couple others who never come online...), PvP would be extremely boring.
I'm looking for people to help build the map and play the map. You don't necessarily need to have a huge amount of skills to build, but I do like it to look pretty nice.
If you are interested in joining a PvP oriented server, then add Azmodan45 to your friends list. Make sure you send an appropriate message regarding why you'd like to join or who you even are or I will automatically deny you.
Dec 4, 2012For some reason, i can seriously not get seeds to work.Posted in: MCX360: Discussion
I tried a survival island seed and yes, it did spawn the island, sort of. It was like a variation of what the island is but it had no tree and the cave wasn't there, like it should've been. Here is the survival island I tried: http://www.minecraftseeds.info/2011/09/8320668148713193150.html
Now, I tried another seed in hopes I could get mostly snow, here is the link to the page:
I tried Destiny<3 and where I spawned there was snow but it certainly wasn't 95% full and not anything related to what he described. It just looks like a normal random map with a weird coincidence of having a little snow.
This makes no sense.
Oct 17, 2012I found this web page: http://www.minecraftseeds.info/Posted in: MCX360: Discussion
First thing it showed "Seed: Temple." Okay, start up the game, create a new world, put "Temple" in the seed to generate box, failed.
All it did was load a big map with tons of water and a couple islands but nothing like that map showed.

yes the map seeds still work... you can type in the seed you want and you get what you input.
I don't see why you shouldn't be able to... just keep in mind it is roughly 800x800 so you will be able to locate what will actually generate in an xbox map... -400x400 would be the cordinates roughly... i know it is a bit more than that but i figure giving a rough estimate would be better so you know where to go from...
I think so too. I'm going to try it out.
If anyone has anymore input on the parameters, let me know, otherwise I'll try your numbers.
Oct 17, 2012Is it possible to create a map in MCEdit and use the seed number for the xbox 360?Posted in: MCX360: Discussion
If so, is there limitations on the size of the map? xbox 360 doesn't seem to have very large maps but if there's a world size (small) or parameters, I'd like to know.
Sep 17, 2012So, how does this work?Posted in: MCPE: Discussion
I'm trying to play this multiplayer with a friend (we both have iPhones) but we don't have a wifi connection nearby. We're literally sitting right next to each other though and we're trying to use 3G, I guess, but it doesn't work.
