Would you be willing to add a way to not receive an in-game message about updates being available or maybe just show it once for updates being available no matter how many versions? I check mod for mod updates every few days, but do find the update messages for some of them to be annoying especially when they show up every time the game is loaded.

I'm trying to find a mod that'll work prevent a player from looting drops from another player. I know there's bukkit plugins that allow this but I'd prefer not to have to run a bukkit server. Thanks.

How so? Forge doesn't modify either atc.class or ate.class (MC 1.4.6/1.4.7). It works perfectly fine for me for the last few months with Forge, OptiFine, ControlPack, a few other base-class mods and around 10 Forge/Modloader mods.

bug report: occasionally when placing a block, the hologram will not update, so it will remain blue when a block is there. restarting minecraft fixes it.
I've found this to happen if you place blocks while the schematic is off and then try to place them again when its on as well if you teleport away/back to the schematic and try to place blocks. If you move the schematic 1 block one way and back, it resets and is able to check the blocks properly again.

There's TabbyChat. It doesn't have regex and a few other features, but has others.

Improved Chat, yes unfortunately (incompatible with Forge).
Rei's minimap on the other hand, can be left in zip form in the mods folder and will work there if you have either Modloader or Forge (with FML) installed.

would it be possible to make the schematics veiwable by other people with this mod? so group progects could be done.
You can share the schematic files with other players and all you need to do is tell them where to line it up.
Forcefully loading other player's schematics when you enter the area they are in in, might be bad for players with crappier computers.
On the other hand if there was a way to show you where the other player's wireframe outline is might be useful, but would probably require a server-side plugin or some other way of transferring that data.

Alternatively, I could write it so that TabbyChat attempts to find chat history for a tab whenever it's created... that might be more useful, so I could give it a shot and see if there's a significant performance issue.
Also, I could consider switching the folder paths around, so you get a new folder in "TabbyChatLogs" for each day, and then a new folder in that one for each server. That would probably make it more difficult to find chat history though.
I'd be happy to hear any thoughts or preferences anyone has on this proposal.
This would create quite a lot of files and folders.
For temporary chat history, I'd recommend having a temporary file(s) that stores the last x number of lines/tabs (as well as archiving all content to the day's log to the actual log files). Sorting the logs into server (domains might be best especially for hosts that have multiple servers with the same population that traverses said servers - i.e. minez) folder, but having files within it (without folders) for each day would be best. Servers from different domains should have separated log files since its a different group of ppl on a different domain.
Tabs (if stored separately, should have 1 folder per tab, not day - annoying to have to move between 10 different folders to check logs for 10 days).

IF you do, then I'd recommend doing it the same way Rei's Minimap does (only allow it if specific [hopefully the same ones as Rei's] characters are in the motd).
