    Updated 2015.02.22 for Minecraft 1.8.1

    IT'S BACK!

After over two years with hardly any news, SuperMarioCraft has been updated! There are quite a few new items that still need texturing, but all the essentials are still finished covering most everything you'll encounter on a daily basis.
(also the images above are outdated but mostly accurate, I'll update them some weekend when I have a lot of time again)

    About SuperMarioCraft

I started this pack way back in October of 2011 because I wanted a clean Mario-themed pack for myself (and to share)! To keep a consistent style I decided to use only resources and themes from a single game, and selected Super Mario World, partly because it's my favorite Mario platformer and partly for its lovely color themes. Every sprite and texture that isn't taken directly from the game has been carefully crafted to match the the clean simplicity of the rest.

    Downloads!

Here's the main pack updated for 1.8.1:

By default the wools are simple and not the obnoxious exclamation-point wools you see in the images above. If for some crazy reason you do want the obnoxious wools I've made a resource pack for just those, so make sure it appears above SuperMarioCraft in the list of selected packs. Link Removed

yay not very many texture packs of mario stay updated for long.
Mmk dudes, adding another comment here to force myself to stick to my word. This pack hasn't been updated since even before there were animated textures, and now there's a new format to deal with. Within the next couple of days, I'll be making it as current as possible, hopefully animating a couple textures, and adding textures for some of the new items. I'm waaaay behind right now but I'd like to make this pack playable again!

Come on already! Update the texture pack to 1.5.1 and 1.5!

I'm sorry! Taking 18 credits plus work this semester, my free time has taken a vacation. In a couple weeks school ends and I'll be able to update a whole bunch of textures (as well as animate whichever textures I believe need animating). I promise I haven't given up on the pack, I like it too much.

Sorry for the delay in fixing the page, guys! I've gotten into the groove of this school thing and I think now will be the time to get the updates running again. There are several snapshots' worth of content I need to catch up on, let alone mobs that need skinning.

posted a message on Rant on Nintendo and Haters
It's really funny that some people are this way, because Nintendo has so much more of my respect than anything else. All gaming systems I've ever owned:
    • NES
    • N64
    • PSX
    • GameCube
    • Gameboy Advance SP
    • Wii
    • 3DS
All but one are Nintendo, because they have always been innovative. Ahead of the curve. Creative beyond belief.

I don't hate the others. I just hate the haters.

    Hater haters gonna hate haters.

    EDIT for more!
I'm not the biggest fan of Nintendo's sales model, but at least they make up for it with creativity. Unlike the other two popular ones, Nintendo doesn't sell its consoles at a loss to begin with. This is the reason it is a step behind as far as hardware and capabilities are concerned (e.g. no HD on the Wii).

I think this sounds okay for the more animal-like mobs. i.e. Creepers, spiders, perhaps zombie pigmen. I think the food would need to be different, but I like the idea.

    EDIT:
    Funniest auto-correct ever up there.

Hm, just realized I hadn't commented here yet.

Fantastic texture pack! At first glance I was very skeptical of the concept of repetition, but it actually looks pretty darn nice!

Very nice, thanks for sharing! Just so you know, there are mapping programs that will generate an awesome top-view map as an image for you. Check minecraftwiki.net and search for mappers. So much less work!

Both a classical creation story (god(s)) and the Big Bang Theory have equal merit. Who's to say the Big Bang wasn't caused by a higher power?

No they most certainly do not. One is an explanation based on actual observations and collected evidence, and one is a story from an old book written before this information could even be collected.

    Quote from 999Catfish

and who's to say there are no god? Religion can NEVER be 100% proven or disproved

Simply saying that something cannot be disproved is not a reason to believe it, either. Your point is irrelevant to the argument, because by that same logic you could ask, "who's to say there IS a god?"

    Quote from Grump

Until it's been personally experienced and/or studied in-depth, it looks like a bunch of hokey. There's some merit to it though.

And UFO claims look like a bunch of hokey to those who don't think they've been abducted. Is there merit to those stories as well?
