although with a much higher-resolution texture pack.

I have no doubt Skyrim has a high resolution texture pack... however those are some seriously poor quality textures in that pic. Hi res does not necessary equal high quality.

I agree. Most people are selfish and don't care about others. If all people loved their fellow man the way God wanted them to, this world would be a lot better place.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:4–8a

If you have an ATI card and you're getting this error. Please use the Catalyst 9.12 drivers as can be found here.

    http://www.guru3d.com/news/ati-catalyst ... -released/

I was forced to use a Radeon 1900gt & X800xl for a while and couldn't run Minecraft because of the 'pixel format not accelerated' error. I searched for a couple days and could not find any information on it anywhere that was of use. I finally found out that the Catalyst 10.2 drivers (which are the latest ones) only support opengl 1.1. If you un-install them and install the 9.12's you should be good to go assuming there are no other issues.

Those goes for all the following ATI cards which use the legacy driver:

    ATI Radeon 9500 Series
    ATI Radeon 9550 Series
    ATI Radeon 9600 Series
    ATI Radeon 9700 Series
    ATI Radeon 9800 Series
    ATI Radeon X300 Series
    ATI Radeon X550 Series
    ATI Radeon X600 Series
    ATI Radeon X700 Series
    ATI Radeon X800 Series
    ATI Radeon X850 Series
    ATI Radeon X1050 Series
    ATI Radeon X1300 Series
    ATI Radeon X1550 Series
    ATI Radeon X1600 Series
    ATI Radeon X1650 Series
    ATI Radeon X1800 Series
    ATI Radeon X1900 Series
    ATI Radeon X1950 Series
    ATI Radeon Xpress Series
    ATI Radeon X1200 Series
    ATI Radeon X1250 Series
    ATI Radeon X2100 Series
