posted a message on [1.7.10][Beta][WIP]Colored Light - Progress and Discussion
Just out of curiosity, how do you handle the color? Are you using an HSV system with the vanilla brightness level as the V component? Or are you using separate RGB for the color?

Nobody has made a program to do that yet. You probably shouldn't count on one being made either. Sorry.

    posted a message on [1.5.2][Forge] AddMicro - a Forge Multipart helper (0.0.001)
AddMicro isn't able to add blocks from certain mods. I'm no modding expert, but it seems that AddMicro is runs before some mods initialize their blocks.

Still WIP... but I like it

Note, that's just just regular glass down there... and there still is a lot to do. It's slowly getting there!

    You're kidding... I can't believe it!
It seems that almost every mod has its own version of colored glass and colored lamps, but everyone has always said that colored light would be near impossible. :)

If you could only fix the rendering engine so you can see transparent materials behind other transparent materials... I know it would be very hard to do.

You cant just one hit bone meal stuff anymore and make it grow. honestly that was my favorite thing in minecraft and it was so convient. Am I the only person who thinks Mojang should change it back?

You should have been here when they changed it to 7 bonemeal per wheat... It sure was a spectacle.

posted a message on Extremely Important, Glitch with Redstone Blocks!
As stated above, this is a well-known glitch with pistons. It just so happens that the piston is being powered by a redstone block..
Pistons can be powered from two blocks above or one diagonally. The pistons will only react to the power after a block update. This has been termed "piston quasi-connectivity."

While it might sound nice at first to remove this "feature," so many great mechanisms, namely the BUD, would be broken.

Of course, they could add special code for redstone blocks so that they won't power pistons in this configuration. Alternatively, they could also remove piston quasi-connectivity all together and add a bud block.

posted a message on 1.5 Glitches and Problems
    1. The texture pack format has been updated, and improved. With that said, all your older texture packs are incompatible with 1.5. You have to either download an updated version of the texture pack from the author or run them through the unstitcher here:

    2. I think the problem you are having is fixed in the newest snapshot.

Is it possible to create a piston-based BUD that does not utilize piston quasi-connectivity?

Also, what is the most efficient way of powering a 1x1xN vertical column of blocks?

posted a message on Maintaining Signal Strength
I came up with this design. It is basically an improvement upon the comparator-to-redstone-to-comparator signal extender. The opaque blocks save the player on redstone and comparators, as well as lower the delay by using less comparators.

All signal strengths (0-15) can be extended.
