    This is the way Minecraft works in principle, but it tends to clear its cache in batches of 256 MB no matter how much RAM you give it. I'm sure there is a way to extend that using mods though. It wouldn't even need to be server side as far as I can see.

    Minecraft Mods aren't coded using LUA, they're coded using Java. And there isn't a lot you can do if they won't update their mod in the time you want them to. It is incredibly rude to update someone's mod without their permission.

    I am not saying they should update, I am saying they should write NEW mods for the NEW versions. That way they will not need to update, because they are already on the new version.


    You just pointed out that no-one uses the calclavia MFFS anymore, because it is for an outdated version. Yet you are asking other modders to create mods for an outdated version, knowing that it is already obsolete.


    It's even harder to build a mod from the ground up. We're just telling you not to be angry at people who make these mods for free not updating them on time.

    The point is that there are equivalent tools to normal minecraft tools in tinkers construct... tc does the same thing but adds more.
