    The other worker of this mod Bloodshot is going to make an update for 1.10 fixing all the bugs but for now Mo Creatures is on the backburner because he's working on an update for Sponge/Grief Prevention which he also made/works on. This mod isn't dead but it is dormant for now.


    That's ironic. We specifically didn't move to Sponge because we knew there would be large delays in updates. We moved to forge only from cauldron and managed to cover mob griefing through various mods. This mod might not be dead, but my private server definitely is since we are regularly falling 2 and 3 releases behind because of things like this.

    We finally made the jump from 1.7.10 cauldron to 1.10.2 forge last month. 20 of our mods are already on 1.11. 1.12 will be coming out later this year. Unless the 1.7.10 backport is nearly done, I'm wondering how much it will be used outside of the players that don't intended to update.

    I thought I would share this, as I haven't seen this done on any of the servers I found while re-evaluating dynmap. I wasn't able to find a live 3D google map that I thought was better, even after these 5+ years. So, I thought I would look at giving the page a fresher look by updating the icons.

    I'm not sure if many realize, but in the configuration.txt you can enable a logo and link on the map. Some free icons from map icons collection, some gimp editing to reduce the canvas size to 32x32, some excel copy paste, gimp resizing of the final image, and you end up with a nice map key that players can click. In this case, it sends them to a wiki page for our private server that tells them what to type on a sign to add the custom icons. Also, I have one really amazing builder. Our whole world doesn't look as good as the image above.


    Edit: The Key looks great on a large monitor, but on a smaller laptop it blocks the location controls. I'm wondering if there is an easy fix to limit height of the logo by %, or if it is possible to add a second column to the sidebar and have it slide out along with the worlds (when unpinned). Anyone have any suggestions?

    I was curious if it is possible to disable the mini-map in certain areas? One of our players is making a maze and it came up as a request.

    Main class in public void init(FMLInitializationEvent event) after Recipes:

    Item class needs this statement and method:

    At the same location as your lang and texture directories: Create \models\items\craftguide_item.json. For basic items you can just replace the item name and keep the values below which should be fine for the crafting guide book:

    In \textures\items you already have the texture name and location correct. There are no blockstates to worry about with simple items. Hope it helps.

    I think the most likely date now is that they will announce the first snapshot or first release at Minecon, July 4th and 5th. The actual release will probably be 2 weeks after Minecon with any patch releases or snapshots in the following weeks.

    The original poster's question is fair to ask.


    It has been 9.5+ months with only a half dozen teasers and very little official information. I can't say the modding community has done any better. Only half of our Forge mods are updated to 1.8 and there has been very little in the ways of Bukkit mods rewriting for SpongePowered as it is still being developed. 1.7 came out in October of 2013 and we are still on that release.

    Minor request: Can you add a recipe to turn shark teeth into bonemeal? 1 to 1 would be fine. It would just add another use since you can gain them faster than you would ever consume the swords.
