    Hi sh00ter,

I haven't created a forum post yet, but will do at some point. It's a lot of work to convert from one post entry format to anothe and I've just not had the time.

Any issues with MinersAdvantage can be PM'ed to me directly and I'll pick them up from there.

Can anybody please tell me in English how to use "Shaftanator"?
Every Youtube video and tutorial on it is in some other language I don't understand.

I know how to turn it on and off, but I don't know how to use it.

-Do I have to type in a command to activate it?

-Do I need a special tool to use it?

-Do I have to turn everything else off in order to use it?

By default Shaftanator will dig a mine shaft two blocks high, one block wide and sixteen blocks long. The size of the shaft is customisable.
Using the Mod options or the config file you can specify the shaft Height, Width and Length within the default limits.
You are required to hold down a key while mining in order for it to work. Default button is the 'Left Alt' key.

If you have Illuminator enabled and the 'Auto Illuminate' option is switched on (default is on), then Shaftanator will tell Illuminator to place torches along the length of the shaft so you don't have to.

If you have Veinator enabled and the 'Mine Ore Veins' option is switched on (default is off), then Shaftanator will tell Veinator to mine the ore veins along the length of the shaft.

Thank you for your msg. These are all issues I have been addressing with the current rewrite of superminer.

I am close to getting a new release out, however life has got in the way just recently, which has put things on hold for a time.

My three year old daughter is currently in hospital after being diagnosed with diabetes and I have been by her side the whole time.

Hoping to get her home again soon, but until we do and things are settled again I shall not have enough time to work on the mod as much as I'd like.

When I do release I am probably going to release superminer with a new name, just to give it a new lease of life.

How does the cropinator work? It only tills one side of the water source but not the other side. When i try to till the other side, it just tills that one spot but take up more than half of the stone hoe durability.

It is supposed to till either side of the water source however, there is a bug in it that causes it to fail.
I have fixed this issue in the re-write that I am currently working on and made some massive improvements in the way it processes. ( no more lag spikes )

The new version is currently around 75% complete. So with any luck I shall have a release out within the next few weeks.

    Hi DuelMonster,

I recently found out about this mod, and was really stoked to use it. But I downloaded it, and it doesn't seem to be working properly. I can enable the different things (I've tested shaftinator and excavator so far), but they don't seem to really be doing anything.

Other mods I have installed right now are Xaero's Minimap and Schematica, which work fine.

I am running 1.12.1, and have tested it on the single player survival, single player creative, and mulit player survival. I don't know if I might have done something wrong with setting it up, so I'm hoping you might be able to help me out!

Are you using the key bindings? See the first post {here} or check your controls options for the defaults...

hey, new to minecraft pc but love your mod but I have one problem.....

substituter is not switching to silk tough pickaxe when mining/moving glow stone. have to cut it off to use my silk touch pick

and the illuminator seems a little slow? when it comes to placing torches and sometimes I have to start mining something and cause a block update for it to place one

Substituter and the silk touch issue is being worked on at the moment and will be fixed with the current rewrite I'm working on.
Illuminator is designed to work while holding/pressing attack key bind (left mouse) and not while just walking around. Otherwise it'd be placing torches all over the place when you didn't want it to.

Hey DuelMonster, thanks so much for this mod.

I'm just curious how to turn off the chat notifications every time I touch a block (see the attached image). I cant find an option to turn off debug chat in the configs.

Edit: Disabling the Substitutor seems to resolve the issue.

    Hi Visivante,

I hate to say it, but I#m pretty sure that SuperMiner is not the cause of those messages...

It is very odd that it would stop when disabling Substitutor because, I've been over my code and can confirm that there is nothing that would send out messages like that. All my debug stuff is set to only display while I'm debugging and I have the messages prefixed with "SuperMiner".

I don't see any messages in any of my live instances.

Are you running the latest version?

I've got Tinker's Construct 2 version TConstruct-1.12-2.7.2.19.jar and am using a Hammer with Silktouch. The only time I can use it is if it is the only item on the hot bar and it is selected for use. If it is not selected anything else is used including my hand.It was working before I added Silktouch so something about that is causing this problem. The versions of SuperMiner is SuperMiner-2.6.34.336.jar.

    Hi mcgwier,
I am aware of the silktouch issue and am currently working on a full rewrite of the mod. So a fix for this will come soon (I hope).

I am currently working on a full rewrite of my mod in order to rectify a crash issue that I have run out of ideas on how to solve.

Unfortunately I believe that a rewrite is my only remaining option.

I shall make a note to change the light level checking when I get around to redoing that feature.

It may take me a few weeks to complete, as I only have a few hours a day to work on it, so please bare with me.

Any other feature suggestions are wecome. ;)

    Hi Po0fer

Illuminator only works when holding down the left mouse button while walking around in dark areas.

In order to light up an outside area you would need to be walking around in the dark.

The crash is similar to other crashes I've been working on fixing so I have a good idea where to start and how to fix it.

I had a similar crash myself the other day with vanilla crops and without the seed spawns. It is a very random crash and nearly impossible to replicate.

Hopefully when I fix it it'll remove the nasty lag spike that Cropinator causes...

    Hi Konitor,

    Thanks for the crash report.

I've added both of your issues to my todo list and will look into them sometime this week.

I took a crack at fixing it myself (I didn't get super far) but I did find why no torches where placed by accident. In a 2x1 shaft it placed the torch 1 block to the left replacing the stone block that was there. I have no idea why ExcavationHelper would be trying to place the torches there though.

    Hi Kertap,

I took another look at the auto Illumination feature last night and made some adjustments. Please try the latest release:

    [1.11.2]-2.4.32.306
    [1.11]-2.3.32.290
    [1.10.2]-2.2.32.270

I've done a fair bit to try and rectify this issue and I'm thinking that I need to go back and re-write the placement code to remove my "hacky" fixes.
In fact the whole mod needs a re-write really as it's getting rather messy with all the crash fix attempts I'm doing at the moment...

But before that happens, I'd really like to get back to my new project... I'm hoping it'll blow peoples minds...
