    So I checked all over for Hecate mobs and have seen them once only in a far off magic forest biome. My farm has 5 high walls completely surrounding a 31x31 area with warding stones all along the base of the wall. Its in a sacred springs biome and the entire area is well lit with arcane lamps. I tried the flesh golems+ tiny fez and for some reason they were not regenerating their health at all, they seemed to be stuck at 7.5 hearts when I checked on them while their max is 10-watched them for a couple of minutes and they both never regenerated at all.

    I'm just going to chalk it up as a bug and abandon the farm for now since it's getting incredibly frustrating. I know it isn't the Hecate mob because the only golems missing are the ones with Use cores that plant saplings every.single.time. I am the server admin so I can check logs but I have no idea where to begin looking and I'm reluctant to set up anything else with golems if this is going to keep happening, which it probably will.

    stone golems are pretty durable, so it probably took him longer to take serious damage. you could try flesh golems with a regenerating upgrade. even if they take occational damage. if its not too much at once, they should heal up quickly and not die.


    You know, that actually may be it, I had them planting trees in a ring around the chop golems (Thaumium) and sometimes golems would get hurt for a split second by suffocating in trees that grew with them standing in them. I'll give the upgraded flesh golems a try. I also need to rethink my layout to avoid further golem casualties.

    Does anyone know of a way to prevent Golems with the Use Core from disappearing? Even after putting in a chunk loader they eventually vanish without a trace. I've tried Tallow and Stone Golems, of which the Stone seemed to hang around longer. All the other golems in my charcoal farm are absolutely fine and have never had any issue with them.

    I'm running the latest version of TC in the DW20 mod pack.

    The Larger Biomes setting makes all biomes roughly 16 times bigger than usual so there is that, also, use Amidst instead of flying randomly all over the place.

    I experienced the same thing in the nether, a clump of items frames and floating paintings hanging in mid air from my Overworld storage room. Wasn't able to interact with them at all.

    It's a new vanilla multiplayer world and I haven't built anything in the nether yet so I'm wondering if I should delete the nether files and reload it again.

    So you can now find books with stuff like Smite and Protection on them and if you enchant a sword with it, it gets both enchantments instead of just the smite. Does anyone know if the Protection enchant on a sword actually does anything or is it just dead weight that drives the repair cost up?

    I went ahead and tried it on a diamond sword and it took both the smite AND protection enchants. Now the real question is whether it actually grants protection when equipped or not.

    I too run a snapshot server since the first snapshot after 1.6.2. I experience the same bugs. Console is blank due to how the console reads the logs, the link is broken. The snapshots were fine until the last 3. Logging in takes 15 seconds for the server to recognize any players, and changing dimensions to the nether or end is the same. I propose this has something to do with chunk loading and how the server reads the data files. Your world or player files aren't corrupt. Stay hopeful, if you post the bugs or upvote them on the issue tracker the dev team will address them.


    That's actually comforting to know that I'm not alone. I am aware that snapshots are prone to having problems but these particular problems just cropped up out of nowhere a couple of days ago. I'll make sure to upvote certain bugs on Mojira.

    I run a whitelisted server for me, my fiance and my younger brother. Ever since we reset the server and used a new seed with the newest snapshots things have been very unstable. Sometimes I crash 2 or 3 times in a row when logging in and sometimes all the chests, mobs, water and other things are invisible (but you can still interact with them). It's not just me either, my fiance has experienced it too. Relogging a few times usually fixes it but even then there are odd glitches like single chests not having any lids yet double chests do.

    None of this happened with the first couple of 1.7 snapshots, everything was stable and ran fine. I recreated the map in single player and had no issues there either.

    One last thing: My java console that pops up when I run the server is completely blank on the side that shows it building the level, who joins, quits etc. I can still use commands like /stop or /say but they don't show up. Could my files be corrupted or is this due to the snapshots?

    Cool seed but man your FOV strains the hell out of my eyes, had to keep pausing to avoid feeling sick, I usually play at 80-85, this looks like 100+.

    Since I've spent a ridiculous amount of time building my base up on a vanilla SMP server since 1.6 came out and have used Amidst to check out interesting locations on my map seed ( using /tp commands) I have inadvertently generated a lot more of the world than I originally intended to.

    To avoid a lot of messiness with the upcoming 1.7 update I decided to put exploration on lock down and was wondering if there is an easy way to make it as if I never went beyond, say, 800-1000 blocks from my starting spawn location? I know it's possible to do, I just don't know how to go about it or if it will even be necessary. In any case it wouldn't hurt to know how. Just as a side note its a private, vanilla smp server with only me and one other player that's building a rather large village right by spawn, so their build won't be affected.
