I've always wanted to see a turret mod that's better than the others. Can I make a suggestion though? I've always wanted to have turrets that have infinite ammo so that I can simply set 'em and forget 'em. That way I could be able to continue working on my builds and not have to worry about restocking them at anytime.
Infinite ammo isn't on my list of components for this mob, but so far I have planed for an (Chickbone's) Ender-chest loader upgrade as well has Jeb's. I'm also adding a special GUI to some of them so that you can just dump in iron blocks, and they'll stay firing for what-seems-forever. Also going to be adding stackable buckets full of specific ammo (bullets rockets etc).
The first word in the title isn't a real word, but I have thoughts of making a Sentry gun mod. I've done my research, and there are a few other mods already.
I'm looking at making something far better than dispensers-on-sticks and golem-style built turrets. I'm talking about something better than being driven-up-the-wall with the said turrets.
What if I made a mod that specializes in Turrets and Sentry Guns? Yes, the other mods do have some in-depth of the Turrets, but where are the sappers? Can you point at a block, and say pew-pew-pew to disguise the sounds made by the Turret? Can we please stick with bullets and possibly rockets instead of arrows? Can we hack them with Computercraft?
The plans in my mod answers with "yes" and "That's definitely in!". The point of me writing is, is this going to be worthwhile to program? I'd like some other's thoughts on this.

It's not the largest, but it's pretty darn compact light house.
Anything else you can do, here are somethings i need:
-lots of redstone door designs (compact like you have)
-pressure plate puzzles
-codes
-dispenser tricks (like a lottery machine)
-lighthouse.
-and probably other stuff
I don't know much as for dispenser tricks, and I'm not sure what you mean by a lighthouse. If you're talking about a rotating beacon, then heck yes, I can make blocks go into a cycle.
Need any redstone help, well, HERE IS THE MAN MINER RIGHT HERE, waiting to help out!
Actually, I'm kind of bored of making my own creations so far.
What I can do:
-Make a compact 2x2 piston door in a 3x6x6 space (with pressure plates) only using 10 redstone dust, 2 redstone torches, four pressure plates (if two-way door), and four sticky pistons. Pretty resourceful c:
-Make a 2x2 secret piston door
Nothing strange...
BAM! Secret entrance!
-Make and modify Mob grinders from the simple to nasty, bone-cracking, zombie-mashifying Mob grinders! (Mob grinders I can construct: (Zombie, Skeleton, Blaze, Pigman, all animals, Snow Golem, Iron Golem, Spider (Cave and Jockeys too!), and even Slime*!)
*Can only work on a 'Slime chunk'
-Make blocks rotate in such a way that I can make illusions of rotating 'neon signs'

1 - Off (NONactive)
2 - On (Whatever animation)
And there also might be unneeded lag as a result of added cuboids and such.

This is my first texture pack I've made. (That's no excuse for hate though, maybe) Feel free to make constructive criticisms! c:
