In your opinion, good means name-brand. In my opinion, good means that it does the job. I can find one that does the job, doesn't crap out in a few months or even years, and that isn't entirely noise for less than $80.

You can get a Raedon 7 or GTX 900 class gpu for around $80 if you know where to look. Got one for a friends computer I built, and it runs perfectly fine.
Ergo, you need a GPU. If you're on a desktop, they are easy to replace. Laptops are a bit harder but still possible. If you're on a newer laptop, usually 1-2 years old, then it may still be under warranty and you can have the company fix it.
As of yet, vanilla only allows you the rectangle, but you can change the look of it using any banner you like. Just throw a banner in with the shield on a crafting bench.
As for mods and resource packs, I'm not sure of, but I would be surprised if they had one put so soon. I would keep an eye out, but I don't think they are here as of yet.
Reave's method is pretty good, although put your torches on the ground - monsters spawn by light level in caves, and if your torch is 3 blocks in the air, the light level is less. If you want to make your caves perfect, place a torch every 6th block (5 spaces between torches), and that will ensure every block has a light level 8 or above (mobs spawn 7 or less).
Also, if you can master MasterCaver's method, it is the best one I've seen to date.
1. Then Mojang misses the whole point of multiplayer which is bad for the Minecraft community.
2. What selfish means do I have for campaigning against allowing ranks and colored usernames/text to be sold, allowing donators an unfair social advantage over others?
3. The point is actually relevant to the conversation. It proves that I managed to obtain an elevated social status in the game without having to pay for it, which essentially debunks your second point about me pointing out the visual/psychological advantages bought by many players for my own personal gain.
I am now owed three apologies, and each of them has to be at least 200 words.
Minecraft was intended to be a single player game. That is why when there was an outcry for multiplayer, they released server files to the public rather than creating Minecraft Realms. Realms was created for Mojang to allow any user to have their own server as the Port Forwarding and other aspects of running a sever were difficult for many. The point that you have followers is irrelevant to the EULA conversation. Without paying for it, might I add, also proves my point in that you don't need the fancy colors to get up, making your point that they give unfair advantages debunked, in your words.
1. Citing the limitations of your own multiplayer experience to small servers under your own control does not refute any of the scientific evidence or personal testimony I have presented showing that colored names and text provide a psychological and visual advantage over other players. If you're going to sit here and tell us all that you'll notice dark gray over a black background before you notice red or orange you're a liar and there are plenty of experiments to prove this.
2. You have no personal reason to defend the EULA if what you say is true, so I already have reason to believe you are lying, one way or another. Also, I contend that the EULA is flawed and did not take into consideration the visual and psychological advantages provided by colored names and text in chat on large multiplayer servers.
3. I know I'm not a deity but the point is that I have ascended the social hierarchy to the point where I'm aware of the effects that subliminal things such as titles, colored names, etc. provide on large multiplayer servers. And for you, someone who claims to have never been on a large server, to sit here and tell someone with over a million people who consider him a deity that color does not matter, is pure foolishness and I now demand two apologies.
1. I never said that I wouldn't notice one over the other. I simply noted that Mojang isn't concerned with social aspects in regards to the EULA.
2. I am defending the EULA because it is people such as yourself who are going against it for selfish means. I am personally all for the EULA, and am happy for Mojang for enforcing their rules, and that is why I am defending it. I've no reason to lie to you on the forum; I respect the physics of a debate, and wouldn't subject myself to lies to gain ground, when that would only cause the ground to eventually crumble.
3. This point is irrelevant to the conversation and I will not comment on it further.
I demand an apology for the blatant lies you just told. The fact that you're defending colored names tells me you donated for one which means you're one of those people I was talking about. If you can't achieve recognition without paying for subliminal deception then you do not deserve it. This is coming from a Minecraft deity with over one million followers who never donated one red cent to any server.
On the contrary, I've never been on a server with more than a few people, and THAT server is the one that I had made. I'm not defending colored names, I'm defending the EULA, which is the scope of this thread. Also, I don't care how many people follow you, you're no deity.

Either way, a CPU cannot display the graphics.

Did my own video to kind of elaborate my technique. Not saying that anyone's is wrong, this is just what I do.

20 years old. Play as often as I can, usually a few hours a day. Looking for a mature server. Thanks

I only watched a few seconds of your video and the first few torches were on the wall, at the top. That's why I posted :3

I'm honestly surprised this wasn't implemented when they changed the recipes for fences.

This is a 1.9 problem, not a computer problem.
