Apr 11, 2014Thanks @GreenBananaKun for the clarification. Would be nice if this cert process was a little more transparent to the end user. Like say a website where you can view the progress of a patch in cert testing. While this wouldn't make me more patient for the release, it does give me something other to do than wait for a tweet from 4JStudios.Posted in: MCPS3: Recent & Upcoming Updates
Apr 10, 2014I believe that everything you have mentioned here is listed as a known bug in version 1.04, you can see the full list of known bugs here: http://www.minecraft...bugs-list-tu14/Posted in: Legacy Console Support
I also believe that everything you have mentioned here is listed in the bug fixes coming with version 1.05(TU15) which is due out any day now. You can view the full list of bug fixes here: http://www.minecraft...hange-logs-105/
Good luck and have a great day!

Are villagers similar to sheep in the way they breed?
Such as breeding, certain colour sheep will produce a certain colour baby.
Is this the same for villagers with their professions?
I'm trying to get myself blacksmiths and priests, but they only breed me butchers, farmers and librarians -.-
I haven't read anything on this, but in my experience as my current village was down to just three farmers and they have bred a butcher, priest, and a librarian I would say that it is more likely just some percentage of a chance, likely weighted in some fashion for certain occupations. Interesting question though, wonder if there is anything written on it somewhere...

i would not recommend spending money on this. i stopped playing because the spawn system sucked and now i come back and it's even worse, i can't find chickens or wolves. before it was just slimes missing, now do we have a find chicken spawn/seed tool? i love to google and break my immersion by finding stuff on some 3rd party software since just playing the game and finding necessary mobs isn't possible. this PS3 version is utter trash.
The chickens/wolves thing is a known bug with 1.04 and should be corrected in 1.05 when it makes it through verification.

The PSN Store weekly update use to be Thursdays but that was some time ago. They do add to it through the week these days so it is really up in the air but the mandatory update is now Tuesdays.
Ah, thanks for the clarification. Deflates my hopes on a release today a little though.

You'd think they would release this alreadt, Being the game is barely playable, You'd be wrong.
Seems to me when waiting for the 1.04 to release I read somewhere that it can take up to 10 days for Sony to review. I also believe that I read that Sony only updates the store content on Thursdays. That being said I am hoping to see 1.05 release tomorrow.
But you know what they say... hope in one hand..... you know the rest
Apr 9, 2014I am also playing a TU13 map still. I am waiting on TU15 for the update on the zombie drops for carrots and potatoes so I will have those. I will regenerate the Nether to get the quartz. Then the only thing I won't have really would be the Emerald Ore, which I can live without as I can trade villagers for Emeralds. So rather than starting a new map, my plan is to expand the villages in my current map to boost population and trading options.Posted in: Legacy Console Support
Apr 9, 2014I can also confirm that villagers are taking random damage. It seems as though it may be the "suffocation" issue that has been reported in the TU14(1.04) patch bug list. The damage always occurs when the villagers are next to building walls. I have also noticed that they are able to stand on the lower portion of doors now (door is closed, the villager appears half in and half out of the dwelling, but standing on the lower half of the door). This is obviously a bug, hopefully the same one mentioned where mobs are able to stand on fences right now. Only when 1.05 comes out will I be able to tell for sure, as that is supposed to be fixed in the 1.05 update.Posted in: Legacy Console SupportQuote from Leviticus_The_L337
Do zombie spawners, spawn zombie villagers? I've been at my zombie farm for a couple hours and I haven't seen one yet. Can't wait for the update for zombies to drop potatoes and carrots
Seems to me I have read that there is a probability that zombies will spawn as zombie villagers. I can only verify that I have seen zombie villagers in areas away from villages. However, this would be a natural spawn, as opposed to a spawner, so not sure if that "probability" is affected differently with a spawner.
Apr 9, 2014It may be a little unfair to ask this question now as 1.04 came with a slew of really frustrating bugs. Hopefully 1.05 hits this week to help clear that up.Posted in: MCPS3: Discussion
That being said...
We got my son an Xbox 360 for Christmas with Minecraft. I played splitscreen with him for a about half an hour and have been hooked ever since. I did, however, feel bad about playing his Xbox all the time so I purchased the PS3 version because the PS3 is mine. I can say that the gameplay overall was much smoother on the 360. Most of the really annoying behavior happens on splitscreen, which we haven't done now since 1.04 came out, will try again when 1.05 installs, but the hangs evertime someone access their inventory or the crafting table or opens a chest, very annoying.
I have considered going to the PC version, by that takes the "relax in the living room, big screen" atmosphere away that I enjoy. Rather, I think I will wait until they get up and running on XB1 or PS4 and make a decision then.
Until then, I'll keep mining on the PS3 and hope for the best!
Mar 31, 2014Haven't seen this mentioned yet, but happened to me several times tonight...Posted in: MCPS3: Recent & Upcoming Updates
Evoking an action (LT2) on something while having something in your hand with a "use" option (also LT2) causes both things to happen. Here are two examples to illustrate the problem as the bug itself is hard to explain.
1. Opening/closing a door with a bucket of water in your hand causes the door to open/close and empty the bucket of water out.
2. Having a pet (dog) sit/follow with a bow in your hand causes you to shoot your dog. Also results in a loss of dog when your bow shoots flaming arrows. Which sucks.
Other than that I can verify I have experienced pretty much every other single player mode bug already mentioned here.

Pigs cannot be put into love mode with wheat, they will not even pay attention (follow you) to you if you have it in your hand.
Pigs now require a carrot for following and love mode.
