The reason that I beleive that you used my tutorial is because up until now, no-one ever has attempted a tree tutorial but me! It seems a bit wierd that a few days after I do mine, someone else's pops up... Kinda suspicious.
look at the tutorial's content and not the idea behind the tutorial and you'd be able to find out that it's not copied, plus read my comment above, there actually were about 2-3 of these tutorials before yours.

Sorry to rain on your parade, dude, but this is against a federal law. Well, not federal, but copywright. It is clearly displayed in the topic about rules for tutorials AND the topic about rules for mods, and the part where you showed the whole world ALL of the code for a tree, is against the rules. If someone who doesnt have minecraft gets a hold of the code, they can use the EXACT same code to make their OWN game, which ALSO breaks the copywright. Posting a whole class, or even package, is against the rules... It isnt right. Instead, show just pieces of code where you changed, not the whole thing. Show just a piece that in itself without another class or package, cant be used efficiently.
SO, about the copy-my-thread issue, if Strengthowns had written a copywright on his page, he could actually hold a LAWSUIT against you, and you could be sued. I always copywright my stuff, even though i am an amateur at modifying, and have little threads. DONT COPY HIS THINGS!
If you get mad at this post, PLEASE take it up with an admin. I am at right posting this and have a reason for it. thanks
I am just going to say one thing real quick, if someone can make a full game out of 1/360 somewhat scripts then that person is a fkin genius. I agree with your point but I express this next statement on many different forums:
Take it up with about the 1000 other posts that do the same thing, if you're not going to comment on them all don't comment.
Also, Strong holds no possible copyright because THIS IS NOT COPIED FROM ANY OTHER DAM POST ON THIS FORUM!!!!! also the fact that strength is complaining about stealing "his" tutorial, when if you look in the farther tutorials you'd see about 2-3 tutorials before strengths. So his tutorial wasn't even original to begin with.
Go flame another thread.
Jul 17, 2011strange bug, even though an item stack is passed into the inventories and stuff when you change it's slot or put it in a chest, etc... however for some reason if you move it at all it erases any items in it.Posted in: Tutorials

What mod is it?
It's just adding ores and misc items, like I'm also going to include the backpack from my tutorial.
I have added a mineral, the rarest in the world, Csycryl.
2.5 times as durable as diamond because of its sharpness
1.25 times as fast as diamond
Found below 55
Rarity 1 vein of max size = 3 in 1/10 chunks
Drops Csycryl Chunk, when chunk smelted gives Csycryl Gem, then 6 gems to make an ingot
and I've just started recently

The recipe for the bows are a little... weird, don't you think?
yeah, if he replaces the sticks with string it would actually be a good recipe, otherwise how is that a bow? it's completely solid, I mean what do you pull back? a stick? that obviously will not make things go forwards...
Jul 17, 2011could you add these?Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Rainbow Amethyst Quartz
If a few of those were added this would be epic. PS, they are all real minerals, none are made up.

Look at my thread? Please don't copy a tutorial that was mine...
This tutorial is a bit different. Even if it looks like a copy, this is as simple as switching two words, so not necessarily that someone copied a tutorial, but mainly made a tutorial on something and it ended up being "similar" to yours. Plus multiple people can have tutorials on the same thing, look at almost all the tutorials in this section, almost all the big ones have the tutorial "how to make a new block" and no one is asking then to stop copying.

Nice tut Chewy. I'm an old DOS guy trying to figure out Java. I'm looking for codes maybe you can help. I want to add multiple textures to one block using my .png files and not the terrain.png as you highlighted in your tut, any way to point the textures. Also I want an item to be placeable in the world like a block. My thought is saving block ids by using items as decor items for a mod I am working on.
look at TNT or any block that has multiple textures, you'll see a method called "getTextureFromSide", you will just need to make a new class for your object, take some experimenting and find out which face is which which, then just go through a bunch of ifs. As for using your own textures, you might want to look into modloader because it allows you to use your own textures, however each texture will have to be a different file, you can't just have a .png with 5 images on it, you have to have a separate image for each 5.
As for the items, why not just make it a block instead of an item? or look at how flint and steel sets fire to where you are pointing, using the onItemUse()
