This error doesn't seem to have any connection to Tinkerer's construct. It has to do with a Transformer item, though i can't tell which mod it's from.

Afterwards open the zip to see if there are any additional items in the file, if not simply copy/move zip file to you .minecraft/mods folder.

This is a beautiful mod that will go far. Would be great if notch added a sub forum to add custom adventure maps so people could have a lot of maps to play keep going with your own stuff and i agree with some people please make boomerang standalone for Survival(also did you ad stun effect to the boomerang i thought you might have but i can't tell.)

What would happen if before you updated you went and backed up your Modded minecraft.jar and then when you opened the new updated jar file just replaced the contents with that of the old .jar? Would it work or crash is my main concern but what would happen?

Try MCmappers Dungeon editor allows you to create a super dungeon from 1x1 to 4x4 chunks and up to 15 floors,
(if you just want easy loot then make it a glowstone dungeon because mobs can't spawn then.)
Easiest way to uninstall mods from minecraft is to delete the "bin" folder in your /.minecraft/ appdata directory, then run minecraft.exe to redownload everything (don't worry, your save files are safely kept in a separate folder)
If you don't know how to find the application data directory on your computer, google it.

Don't delete the /bin file, if you do that, your minecraft wont even run (At least for me). Instead, go into the /bin folder, and delete the version file, then run minecraft, it'll redownload the vanilla files and wont screw the whole thing up.
Dude deleting the bin folder and not just the Minecraft.jar file works i tried just deleting the file hoping for a faster download.

No it just makes the tool last longer because the Damage is going up but at the same rate but has to get to positive first. That would be the case if the tools efficiency fell as it took more damage like the armor but such is not the case.
