I was thinking it would be for enchantments. The squares are smaller so it couldnt hold normal items.
If its a second hotbar, the one that is highlighted (in use) could rotate to the top and appear slightly larger. Those are all simple visual queues to indicate to the viewer(player) which one is selected.
They are just hostile environments. A ghast doesn't want to kill you because they are evil, they want to kill you because that's their nature.
Maybe the ghasts are very gentle altruistic creatures that help the intellectually challenged pigmen, and tell stories to the blazes. But the ghasts know humans are evil despoilers of the land, and will kill their little friends to steal their gold nuggets, and rip their guts out to make softdrinks. The ghasts are the good guys, protecting their realm from the evil humans.
I just watched the videos about Ender Dragons. I realized something was wrong with the video. We will have possible double hotbars. However, I can't confirm this. Watch the video on the bottom. You'll notice it.
I'd like to see an option to have the lower cloud layer. I miss mountain ranges dramatically piercing through the clouds, and looking down on them from above.
Mountains should generate in all biomes and the transitions between biomes should be more fuzzy. Also please change that that hideous splotchy seafloor.
While I often replaced the clound png with a blank when I was building near the cap, I liked the old aesthetic of "so tall it's above the clouds" as well. Of course, that would work better with a greater Y limit (you could even have multiple tiers of clouds) allowing a larger build space under the clouds.
I think the main problem with the patterning of the sea floor is that you can see it - because it is so barren, no Kelp forest or Coral reefs - there is nothing to look at except the geology.
Don't take the comment of "you can see it" to mean I like the arbitrary sudden darkeness inflicted while underwater around 12 meters below sea level - I strongly dislike both kinds of arbitrary darkness. Having a dark ocean floor is just as achievable by allowing a more variable ocean floor topography that includes deep sea trenches and canyons. Such places would be excellent remote locations for sea monsters.
skyworld has been saced for the ender. seriously WTF. Notch has promised this to us for a LONG time and right when he's supposed to add it(after Nether became more usefull) he completely changes it for something totally differnt.
They didn't "promise" you anything. From Notch's tweets The End sounds like it is going to be composed of flying lands (you can "fall off" The End), incorporating much of the skyland idea. Now that they have lost your respect (which I'm sure is a great loss to them) will you go away now?
Minecraft is in beta after all, so, from my perspective, every new version should be an update. For example, right now the latest version would be 1.9.3, rather than 1.8.1. It just seems redundant to basically have a beta, for a beta.
Extra testing in very unfinished builds for those people willing to put up with extra bugs to try out new stuffs. They're being nice and letting most people have the more polished older version be the default.
In short, I vote (hah) for the End to be a realm of chaos, which I think goes quite well alongside existing challenges and what we already have in the Endermen.
Having The End be like Pandemonium would be a pretty good idea. It incorporates much of the chaotic rearangement and destruction of Endermen and Enderdragons, as well as the "skylands" feel.
Why aren't you giving credit to the person who invented forums?
They're called "bulletin boards" and have been in action since before 99% of people know what a computer network was, let alone the internet. :tongue.gif:
You for real? Since when did developers need to start asking modders for permission to touch their own game? Let alone give credit?
Given the vast difference between them it's absurd to expect any kind of acknowledgement let alone compensation. Most things Mojang implements that modders have previously done a version of are only vaguely the same category of idea. Notch is nice enough to allow, and even encourage modding, plenty of other companies would crush/sue anyone fiddling with their game and distributing revised parts of it.
I've been playing skyblock on pre 1.9.3 and I finally finished my grass gardens which are about 30+ blocks away from my lumberyard. Now if I go cut wood I theres an extra animal running around my garden when i get back.
Now I've been told that animals don't spawn but it doesn't explain the 2 pig and three cows I found in the garndens.
I'm wanting to finish the build before posting it... so no pics atm.
Animals do still respawn, but the mechanics governing the rate at which they spawn makes the odds of that happening much (1/400) lower than it used to be. For practical purposes on normal maps it is best to assume that they will not, and gather animals from new chunks.
I still operate a chicken farm. Eggs still have the same chance of producing chickens.
I really don't think that's true. After each breeding update I smashed half a dozen stacks of eggs. Since the wheat breeding mechanic was introduced, the chicken from egg rate has been reduced.

No, it won't.

I'd really like to.
This kid needs to learn how to differentiate expectations from supposition.

Sadly, yes, its sounds like dragons will be in the overworld as well. They might be cliche red, or trolling-the-community green.
If they end up in the overworld, I hope they're rare / exclusive to strongholds.

I see what you're looking at there.
I think you might be right.

^That.
More ores would be nice, but don't expect them in the regular world anytime soon.
