Incase this isn't the right spot... I looked and couldn't find a super appropriate place to ask this. I'll restate the question just in case it didn't show up.
Is it possible to have two people on Minecraft Pocket Edition who joined their world together to join that world with two people on labtops or desktops without the mobile version on those labtops/desktops?
My friend and I were wondering if it would be possible as we have to other friends who play all the time on the mobile version. So we were wondering if it could happen.
If it can, would someone give a detail description of how to go about doing this... and if it's different for macs and windows, please add both of the situations for it.
I used the auto install thing for my minecraft... got it to work and all and the only commands that actually work are the gamemode commands. Even in creative nothing else works.
I'm on the newest version of everything so if anyone can possibly give a reason why this isn't working as it should, I'd appreciate it.
A wild guess... Your world is set to "Peaceful".
Do you think it should be possible to spawn a hostile mob when your world set to peaceful?
My world is set on Easy since I wanted to test it. I fixed the quantity thing though... it just won't work with the hostile mobs still but I'll figure it out. Thanks though.
When I try to spawn (say a Creeper) it shows up for like a second and then disappears.... most of the monsters from the spawn list do this. Only a few of the non-hostile ones do not disappear. How come? Also, for the spawning of monsters... the quantity doesn't work either (and I've done it correctly) for any of them.
I own an up-to-date Mac OSX 10.5.8 labtop... which Minecraft has always worked on until just recently (about a month ago it started not being able to work right- it hasn't gone away so I decided to get some help).
I can connect to my interent just fine every time and can log into and connect to Minecraft.net online.
My downloaded (and paid for) copy of Minecraft that I've had since it was Alpha, cannot connect to Minecraft.net and not play online and I've tried logging in with that multiple times (at least six or seven each time). I would like to play online...
Changing my date is unnecessary as my date has been up-to-date forever (as long as I've had my labtop) and everything else is updated to its fullest extent it will allow currently.
I'm still able to actually play the game (offline of course) but I would like to be able to play online. None of my files are missing from it or anything so....
If anyone can help, that would be appreciated very much.

Well first, I'm on a Mac (version 10.5.8) and my launcher used to be able to connect to 'minecraft.net' a few days ago. Now I can't connect to anything yet the website still works on my browser... so I don't know if that's related to this next part.
I just got on to play and everything was fine (minus the fact that it wasn't updated and it took all the items I had on my person until I restarted it again- after that everything was completely fine, even before execpt for the unupdated looks and stuff) but I closed out of the window on accident (I had it paused and saved when this happened) so I started it again. I got into my world, went to my house and now I saw
this instead of the normal double chests... now this is only in my house and I have five normal chests off to the left (you can three in the picture, the other two are on the left wall) but behind me (behind me and to my left if I turn around too) and from the chest I'm looking at all the way to the right, I just see black boxes... so what's wrong and can it be fixed?
I've restarted my game to no avail... it's not much of a bother as I can still open the chests and get all the items that are inside (most of my chests are full too) but it's kind of annoying and I found it odd seeing as it was fine just seconds ago before I closed out of the launcher on accident...
If you are following all of the instructions correctly, but are still getting a frozen loading screen/black screen, then make sure to follow these instructions!
Go to Utilities, and Open Up Java Preferences. Look on the right side, and make sure that at least version 1.6 is in one of the top two slots. If it isn't, drag it up. If you don't have it, open up Software Update and get it.
Then, right click your Minecraft application and Show Package Contents. Open up info.plist in TextEdit, and look for JVM Version, the line below should say 1.5+. Change it to 1.6+.
Then, press Command+Shift+G, and copy this path into it...
There should be one or two files. Copy the one that says JavaApplicationStub. Right click your Minecraft application again and Show Package Contents again. go into the contents folder, then open the MacOS folder, and paste the Java Applicatoin Stub.
This should fix your problems! Then install the mod the way you normally would, just make sure not to delete the META-INF folder... delete the Mojang files, but keep the manifest file :biggrin.gif:
I have tried this. That is what caused my minecraft game to not even LOAD! and I did everything correctly. Promise. I triple checked. Redid a bunch of times and it will NOT LOAD ANYMORE.
So I tried the alternate way to fix the mac problem (with fixing the java stuff on my computer) and I redid everything again. Now minecraft won't even load, it pops up like it will load but the screen never shows up, the icon doesn't show up on my doc and it does nothing. So what did I do wrong now?
Version: 10.5.8
Java Version: 1.6+
I double checked everything...
"this other guide" that you posted in response is what I tried.
Alright, so I redid everything and did not delete the METAINF file (the file mac users are not supposed to delete) I did delete the MOJANG_C.dmf and the other one there (there were two) but not the MANIFEST file. So I tried it again and it's still stuck at 'done loading'. I do make a note though that the patch file you put in last on your video did not show up in the download of V2.9 ... could that be the problem now?
I am a Mac user, running on 10.5.8, and I can't seem to get this, still. I've followed four different video tutorials, and none of them seem to do the trick for me. Here's a rundown of what I do...
I go to Library/AppSupport/minecraft, and then I open the bin. (i should note that, after every unsuccessful install of this mod, i delete my bin and re-update it through minecraft, so I always have a fresh one) Then, I open the minecraft.jar with Archive Utility, to create the folder with the classes in it. I delete META-INF, copy the 20 class files, and then I compress the minecraft folder into an archive, and change 'archive.zip' to 'minecraft.jar', and i have my backup stowed beside the bin folder. I copy the worldedit.jar into the bin, close it all, start up minecraft, and I get a black screen, every time.
I'd just like to ask if theres any real critical error I'm making in doing all of this. I've tried it around twenty different ways up to this point, and nothing has worked. Could it be the version of OSX i'm running on?
thank you so much. this mod looks great :smile.gif:
I also have this problem on the same version of computer except with a 'done loading' screen. I've done everything stated above multiple times and have followed your mac video instructions though the patch properties file does not show up any time I download your v2.9 ...so I couldn't add that.
Love the gui! It seems so..... you know.... well i can't describe the style, someone else can i bet :/
I tried to use techtonicus before the gui on my mac and i couldn't understand it....
A little bug not sure if anyone has reported so no one needs to flame me like saying "OMF UR SO DUM USE READ TE OTER PGES!"
When i click the view map in map viewer button it doesn't work i need to use the finder button to open it.
also another bug sometimes i ned to flush the applications data to get it to load (i use app cleaner to do so)
I'm thinking about discontinuing the MapViewer because it was only meant to be a slightly more convient way to view the maps besides just opening it in your browser. I am just going to change it to open in your default browser instead.
As for the app flush, that is due to the settings files becoming corrupt after certain options are selected. In 0.7.1, this is fixed.
finally someone answered the question/error thing I had XD thank you!
Well yesterday I went to go make iron in my furnace. It didn't work even with 64 coal (though I don't think it matters). So, I tried all the other furnaces I have and none of them work... is this a new thing? or is my game glitching?
