Not to potions and bosses, and the Wither causing you decay status could bring you down quickly if you're not prepared and don't use potions of regen.

and it's still possible to die from falling on full health

using scaffolding helps prevent this when you're doing a tall building

but it is still dangerous in the Nether.

Slow and steady across the netherack ceiling is advised to avoid falling to your death

And in End it's even worse, if you die in the Void in there, your netherite armor is gone.

Just because you have the top tier armour in the game doesn't mean you're in God mode,

I meant invincible to strays, minus the slowness effect.

and Pillager AI is too incompetent to actually be a significant threat to the player, and giving them the ability to tear apart player bases doesn't address this problem directly, it's only when you're dealing with Vindicators, Ravagers, Witches, Vexes and Evokers in a raid then you got the real problem.

Yeah, the Pillager AI is extremely weak compared to that of the Vindicators, Ravagers, Witches (not too much better than the Pillagers as you can easily crit them out as they drink healing), Vexes (nIgHtMaReS!! aHaH!!!), and Evokers (kill them before they spawn those little nightmares of death!).

    Quote from Agtrigormortis»

but triggering a raid has nothing to do with how secure your base is, all you need is a bad omen in a village, and it has to be recognized as a village by the game programming, without Villager NPC's, your base wouldn't count. Pillagers themselves don't have the fire power needed to put you down easily once you've got armour.

But what makes them oblivious to the competition, is the fact they don't recognize your base as a village if it doesn't have Villager NPC's in it.

True, for both ideas (the Pillager raids in the Overworld and the piglin brutes in the Nether) you need to figure out how to make sure the pillager/piglin brutes AI recognizes a player base. Maybe they could raid a player's location after about 20 Minecraft days? Those small raids would be like pillager search parties in villages. Oh yeah! And how about once a player gets the Bad Omen effect, the player has a small chance of getting attacked by a Pillager raiding party. It would be made up of Pillagers, Vindicators, and Witches (possibly a few Ravagers?). Also, in which game modes do you think this should happen? The "raiding party" should have a small chance in all modes, in my opinion. And the other two only happen in normal and hard mode? Let me know what you think.

Birch trees won't grow if they have any blocks next to them, this includes half blocks like stone slabs. They also need at least 6 blocks above to grow.

So you will have to change your model to this: (D = dirt)

    L S S S S S L

    S S S S S S S

    S S D D D S S

    S S D B D S S

One part of me was simply curious, another is collecting data for a modpack i'm currently developing. Gauging player engagement with the base game is essential to figuring out what features to bulk up and what others to trim when making a modpack.

    Ok, sounds cool!

Perhaps they could introduce a similar mechanic for the Nether, Piglin brutes could be programmed to raid player bases in the Nether occasionally with the same difficulty settings you suggested. Piglin Brutes are hostile regardless of what you're wearing, they simply don't care and are naturally killers.

and it makes even more sense in the Nether since it is supposed to be a harder place to survive in than the Overworld.

Yeah, that actually makes way more sense in the Nether. Although I don't know anybody who makes their player bases in the Nether, that would be pretty cool. Piglin brutes are also way more difficult to defeat then pillagers, especially if you encounter a horde. Piglin brutes not only deal way more damage, but you can easily get surrounded and overwhelmed. Pillager hordes just lazily stare at you as they load their crossbow, and at that point you can easily wipe out the majority of them. This is exactly what most hard mode players who are thrill-seekers want in Minecraft hard mode.

posted a message on Add castle ruins

The castle would be made out of cobble stone and stone brick but it's all crumbled down and missing parts, with piles of rock. You could find ghosts, zombies and skeletons there. If you go to the top of the highest tower, you could find something really valuable like diamonds or even netherite!

That sounds pretty cool! But instead of cobblestone, it would be a mixture of stone bricks and mossy stone bricks. If it is to have some OP loot, it has to be super rare and should have a new mob guard it. I like the idea of Agtrigormortis's vampire. It would make sense and these vampires would burn in daylight (bc they are vampires, duh) and would spawn from the basement since there would be a spawner there. Overall, this idea is a wonderful and original idea that I would love to see implemented in a future update.

posted a message on New ages
    Quote from PupleIndicaXx»

I think it would be cool to see ages on minecraft like stone age, bronze age, steam age ECT. I've been watching this mod called create it has like wind mills and water wheels I really think this is well need in the game some kind of concept of this. I think it'd be cool to see muskets in one of theses ages like. Like a research table that lets you go to the next age. I know there's mods for this but I dont like playing with mods I like the way every thing looks like it belongs in the game. I know they've been coming out with updates which are really good and all but they get old every time they come out with new update I play for a little see everything and I'm bored again. Biomies are nice updates but I feel like the actually game needs some kinda of change. It'd be nice see vehicle that you make with some kinda moving block.

The Create mod is pretty fun and cool but I prefer some nice PvP. Also, like how tow4rzysz said, Minecraft isn't likely to add any content that seems too much like something out of a mod. Vehicles do interest me a little bit, but like I said before, it seems a little too much like some sort of mod. Great ideas though and I understand your feelings with having to add mods to your world/server. It does seem like a pain at first but once you understand how to download mods, it becomes pretty easy.

If they were genuinely lazy, they wouldn't update the game for free at all, they'd charge you for DLC or come out with "Minecraft XI: The Minecrafting" and tempt you to buy it again. Or, y'know, just leave the game alone and rake in the cash.

People don't realize how good they've got it.

Yup. They could easily just put 1 or 2 changes in the game and create a bad spinoff: "Minecraft: Part Two". But instead, they spend so much time and effort for the benefit of us. So once again, thank you Mojang developers for helping me get through quarantine.

posted a message on Servers are repetitive these days

Yeah, most of those servers are just exactly the same with no difference. That is why I play Hypixel, because it is still evolving around the interests of its players (except in Skyblock where the admins ruin your dreams lol). I just enjoy playing Hypixel Bedwars and Skyblock. Oh yeah. Speaking of Skyblock, Hypixel gave a very unique spinoff of it that is incredible.

posted a message on Why do you like Minecraft?

How old are you? You can give an age range if you don’t want to disclose your exact age.

    13-16

What about Minecraft do you find appealing?

I love how it is a game that can be played by anyone. It is practically immortal and is constantly updating, unlike other games like it that keep releasing spinoffs that are not only bad but are just money scams. It also helped me get through quarantine as it gave me something to do and think about.

How has Minecraft influenced your life? What does it mean to you? Events, video series, servers, internet personalities, etc. that are associated with Minecraft also count here.

Minecraft first influenced my life when. Over time, I grew out of TheAtlanticCraft and switched to BajanCanadian, then Denis (yes I got bored of Minecraft for a bit and almost went over to Roblox), and then finally Technoblade. All of these guys are super funny and don't swear.

When and how did you first discover/encounter Minecraft?

I was searching for the spinoff to How to Train Your Dragon. I eventually found a series by TheAtlanticCraft that looked cool so I clicked on it. I was amazed by this virtual world with all of its blocks and endless possbilities.

posted a message on Base Raids
    Quote from Agtrigormortis»

I see what you mean, if it doesn't affect normal difficulty then I'll compromise on this one even though I was put off by the idea of a hostile mob that is completely unaffected by lighting conditions, half slabs or glass placement or the presence of water etc, being able to smash down player houses and undo potentially hundreds of hours of work if it is a full sized mansion or palace.

I'd rather there be a very hard mode introduced with this feature, this way players have options and are not forced into it on current worlds as soon as the raid update is introduced.

There are lots of other challenges that could be safely introduced with a Very Hard mode if it existed in the game, and I'm not talking about hardcore, which is a mode that only gives the player 1 life, I'm talking about introducing a difficulty above hard that still has unlimited respawns, but buffs hostile mobs, makes them more intelligent than the previous difficulty modes, and giving them the ability to destroy buildings and steal a few chest items at random.

But seeing as me and lizking10152011's current world is on normal, (we scrapped our hard mode world in part because of suggestions like this being of a concern) if it were done in accordance with your wishes, and only affected hard mode then it wouldn't be something I'd worry about too much.

I just wished normal mode had starving to death, which would make hunger more of a danger in survival as this makes sense. Normal isn't supposed to be easy, and it isn't meant to be super tough either, it offers a sweet spot if you like for people who want monsters to fight but the freedom to build up cities, castles and railway systems without worry of their stuff getting damaged if they followed the basic mechanics of the game properly to prevent monster spawns.

Yup. I certainly don't want anyone who doesn't enjoy having their massive builds torn apart by something that can pretty much not get spawn-proofed. But, I would love if Mojang would add this to hard mode (not hardcore, that would be a nightmare for hardcore tryhards). It would be a wonderful challenge for people like me who are hungry for PvP fights, even if its just a baby zombie that happened to kill Ph1lzA.

posted a message on How long have you been playing Minecraft?

For someone who has been a Minecraft enthusiast ever since I saw some videos that told a nice story in Minecraft based on How to Train Your Dragon (2013), I only REALLY started playing Minecraft 1 1/2 years ago. I got Minecraft on my Xbox 360 console for Christmas 2016. It was "fun" but I never ever got to enjoy survival mode, partly because I was trash and got killed by mobs almost every night. After building a nice peaceful world, the disc just stopped working 2-3 years ago. I then got Minecraft: Java Edition for my birthday (November) in 2019. I built 2 nice survival worlds, where I did NOT surprisingly die on the first night. I then started playing on multiplayer servers and got glued to playing Hypixel everytime I log on to Minecraft. It has been really fun and I love the Minecraft community.
