Building your PC, as others say is as easy as putting lego blocks together. Plus, there are a ton of tutorials on youtube.

Yeah, that laptop is great. :)
I'll keep it in mind for the future, but for now I need something that I can move easily.

Which is funny because the G75VW weighs 9 lbs. :S (A full 3 lbs more than my current laptop.)

    @Drago

Whatever you do, do NOT buy a MAC! Macs are terribly overpriced for their hardware, and are terribly
under-powered and are simply not good at doing anything.

If you are looking for a laptop to buy (for gaming and other general stuff), I strongly suggest looking at Sager, Asus' gaming laptops, MSI and Lenovo's gaming laptops. The good ones are over $1000, but have excellent hardware for a laptop.

If you are looking for a PC, build it yourself. Refer to this website which is a reliable 'market' per say where you can customize a build for what you are looking for. Also, if you want advice, go to the computers section of the forums and ask a few people there.
    Trust me, I wasn't going for a Mac. :P

Yeah, having a computer that's a laptop is important (mobility and all). I've actually been eyeing Asus' G75VW for quite a while now; this event with my computer is probably gonna kickstart me into money-making mode so I can afford it. I'm wary about building my own computer, because for one, I don't have much expertise with that, and for another, I can be a bit impatient, so not having a working computer when all the parts arrive is more likely to be discouraging than anything else.

Mac computers cost more, but at least they have good customer service. Every PC I've had had problems at some point and I could never get them fixed for whatever reason (customer service for PC sucks). I got one problem with my mac I just go to the apple store to get it fixed and I don't have to worry.
That all sounds good, but the fact is that Macs have a vastly narrower range of games and mods I can actually play. I'm using the family computer (a Mac) right now, but I have no intentions of moving all of my activity over to it.

Is it a laptop or desktop?
It's a laptop, unfortunately. I've had it for... good lord, it's been three years now. I ran the battery life into the ground after on year, have had it permanently on AC ever since. Only had issues related to overheating since then. I guess it kinda makes sense that it's having issues now. It might have even lasted longer than most laptops do nowadays.

    Update #2

I have had zero success getting my computer to work since it went to my desktop that one time. I've tried taking the battery out and letting it sit for a while, but it didn't work. I tried "draining the power" from the laptop (removing the battery/power cord and holding down the power button for 15 seconds), but as you'd expect, it didn't work.

In addition, upon attempting to power the computer up, seven short beeps will sound from the speakers. I read over some community support threads on the dell community forums, and that seems to be an indication about a processor issue. However, several posts in the thread I'm reading seem to point to that being triggered when the motherboard is having issues. People have suggested taking it to someone who does computer repairs and having them souder a few components on the motherboard. Either that, or get in contact with Dell support and send my computer to them. (Something else I found out was that it should be fairly easy to get important data from my HDD to a USB storage device, even if I can't turn my computer on. So DsD and my other important projects should be safe.)

So yeah. :/ Morale of the story: never buy Dell again.

    Update #1

I got the computer to boot up, I logged in as normal, and found all my desktop icons and files were intact. However, a few minutes later, it went to black screen like before. This leads me to believe that my hard drive is fine, and that it may have something to do with my battery, as my computer has been complaining about it for over a year now. More updates as stuff happens.

    Hey guys, bad news.

Just now, my computer screen suddenly went to black, and for the moment I can't get it to boot back up. I haven't come to a solid conclusion about what caused the issue, and I would much rather you guys not give me ideas (I'm panicking as it is, and suggesting something might only make me more worried). At the very least, this will probably force me to wake up and find a source of income so I can buy a new computer. If things look bad (I'm hoping and crossing my fingers that it's not), I'll update you and describe what it means regarding my future activity.

    -Drago, currently computerless :(

At least add Ender Chests? Please?
You see, if I DO end up making an update, I want to add more than just a few small additions. There's Armpit of the World to fix (I found out recently that the reasons the spawners weren't working was because of an issue with me using Kamyu's tools in a certain way and it'd take too long to explain blah), and I'd probably also want to increase the difficulty of Shardveil Cove again.

But I promise if I do end up making another update, I'll definitely add ender chests. :P

Yeah. Got confused with the castle from Legendary I think. Anyway, for me, I don't exploit it. I think of it like a puzzle. Step 1: search the outside of the puzzle for anything that may cause issues as I push my way in. Spawners for example. Step 2: Find any points for advantage (MC loot and any possible entrances). Step 3: Head in. I have yet to assault Avalon, but I plan to. Business first, then I can have myself some "fun."
Well that's a pretty roundabout and unconventional way of doing things, but if it's how you have the most fun, I won't stop you. :)

I figured. Also, rooftop skulking on Castle Avidya*. Just blocked up there and took out all 6 spawners on the rooves. My reward?
A sweet hoe and Grey wool.
If I might suggest for an update to Dreadsky, movethat loot into some section in the ground of Avidya*. Cause that was... too easy considering I fought 2 ghasts total to get it.
    *Avalon Fortress :P

Well, I coulda seen that one coming. In general, it's a pretty established fact that if you deviate from the fun path set forth by the creator of the map, you're more than likely to end up sequence breaking and screwing up your experience in the map. I understand that when presented with an area, some people's first reaction is to look for any way to exploit it or otherwise break the progression. That's your choice, but it's a conscious effort you'll make that's more than likely to lower you enjoyment of that area.

As for an update, I really don't want to have to make another update for it. As it stands now, DsI is in a very solid (or at least acceptable) state with gameplay and balance. I'm not worried about unbalancing it by updating, but it's more of the "don't fix what's not broke" mentality. :P

@the guy above me, great job! I'll add you to the OP victory pictures list soon. Glad you enjoyed. :)

Sooo, was mining out a spot in the victory monument island for my enchantment room. And my bedroom. Had a silly idea to make them into Fleecy Boxen. Yeah... stumbled upon something interesting.

The teleport to I4. I feel like a cheater for having found it...

Funny thing is, when i built my staircase down to where I put my enchanting table box, I missed it by one block.
I was kinda waiting for someone to report finding that out of order. :P I highly suggest you wait to use it until you actually reach Intersection 04. Using it out of order will result in a pretty severe and confusing sequence break. Just play as normal, and when you find the traditional entrance, feel free to use it as much as you want. ;)

Okay, on the brighter side of the latest snapshot, what do you guys think of the hardened clay blocks?

I kinda like them, but their color in the vanilla texture pack is almost the same color as normal clay in SMP's Revival. :/ Still, it's a new color and material to add to our palette, which is always a good thing. Expand ALL the block variation!

I'm hoping to release this map before 1.6. :P

Plus, I don't see the point of using a knockback weapon on a non-knockback-able mob. :/

    Hint: They're speed creepers. :3
